Restaurants near Mead Park

The food at Shaw’s just never disappoints. We live in Chicago and usually eat at the River North location but had a friend in town staying in Schaumburg. Great cocktails, food and decor. Excellent service. AND I made our reservation for the wrong day, but they were able to acccommodate us.

The food and service were excellent as always. I had the 8oz Filet Mignon and my wife had the Scallops and both were outstanding! We started with lump crab stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious and followed that up with the butternut squash soup before moving on to the entrees. My only complaint would be that we were seated in the bar area and there was a very loud group of people sitting at the bar. I will request in the future not to be seated in that area.

Great place but go HUNGRY!!! Salad choices are varied and delicious. Meats are cooked and seasoned to perfection. Servers are very attentive, making sure you have the option of choosing all meats that are available. Great choice for 2-12!

Our server totally read our mood for the evening and made us feel like we were the only people she had to focus on. Beyond that, the food was amazing! We were done with dinner but not ready to call it a night, so she secured two spots for us at a busy bar. We were so very well taken care of! Love this place!!!

I’d been looking forward to having a dinner here. I got a flyer promoting a 3 course meal for seniors at a fixed price. I got some of my friends together and we all wanted to try it. Some had the filet, one the salmon and 1 the pork chop. We all enjoyed our entrees, and the sides. One filet was too salty but they replaced it right away. Two had the creamy spinach, they were both cold but again taken care of right away. We had a round table near the entrance of the kitchen which was very noisy and there was not a lot of lighting. We all had to use our phone lights to read the menu. All in all we all enjoyed our dinners and would try it again.
