The food was excellent, but the.gluten free bread actually tasted like bread! The smoked salmon on the sandwiches was fresh and thick, and the prawn sandwich with Marie rose was said to be delicious. The only problem we had was ordering ice cream with chocolate sauce. Mine came with caramel, and when we questioned why the waitress said, the chef had indicated there was wheat in the sauce. Shame it wasn't mentioned on the menu. Will definitely book again, but the.menu needs to indicate what is GF and what isn't.

Greeted and taken to our table upstairs. The restaurant even at 12:50 was very busy. Lovely cozy clean vibe busy with staff who were very attentive. We were shortly over to a better table by the window which was also a little larger. I had a voucher for my birthday. Don’t know how they knew, but they gave me a glass of champers which was so kind. We both went for the Sunday roasts, both cooked beautifully but unfortunately were on the tepid side (we like our gravy steaming) so it chilled the food a little. I also had a pear and almond pudding with extra hot (I asked) custard, Devine. We would definitely recommend this Bistro, prices were moderate also. Cant fault the service. Looking forward to going back.
