- KKaylanAtlanta Metro •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI decided to give this restaurant a try after hearing raving reviews from other locals, and let me just start by saying it’s even better than the hype. I took my husband here for his birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the night. The great location on the corner made it easy to find in the busy Dallas streets and the valet gentlemen were friendly and ready to take the car making it a smooth transition. I enjoyed the ambiance from the time you step into the elevator all the way to entering the restaurant. We had reservations so there was no wait time. I appreciated the hostess wishing my husband a happy birthday upon seating us and making sure we were comfortable at our table. There was a happy birthday card from the entire Dakota staff with roses already at the table giving it a special touch. The star of our night though was our waiter Brian L. He genuinely took care of us and made the night so special. It was our first time visiting and he elaborated on the drink menu options available. After picking our drinks, he walked us through the menu thoroughly and recommended for us to try the 4 course tasting. He informed us we wouldn’t have to stress about what to choose from the menu and it did not disappoint. We agreed and he asked us a few questions to figure out what we liked. Brian communicated effectively with the chef to deliver some of the most heavenly food imaginable. My husband and I like extremely different foods and the chef was still able to accommodate us both. As every course was brought to the table, Brian was present and ready to inform us about all dishes presented. It is evident that he is passionate about what he does, knowledgeable about the menu, and has an exquisite palate as well. His infectious personality was the cherry on top. My husband and I rated every steakhouse we have been to and Dakota’s is definitely number one on our list. When our family comes in town to visit we will are certainly bringing them here for the experience as well.More infoDakota’s Steakhouse- Downtown DallasPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.9
- CColeVIPDallas - Fort Worth •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is an excellent dining experience - Dallas is lucky to have a Catch location. We got the oysters and the Shishito peppers. They were excellent (oysters were a normal size even though they said they’d be tiny, and were very good in flavor and texture). We got the MRC sushi roll for the table and had to order a second one because it was so good (I can’t put into words how good the sushi was we could come here and just get that). We got two of the crunchy rice cakes and two of the baked king crab hand rolls which were excellent. My partner got the New York Strip with wasabi butter which was a phenomenal add on I do recommend super unique and not very spicy. I got the wagyu fried rice and it was out of control. Dessert of Pistachio cheesecake and coconut milk ice cream was excellent as well. This is a return venue for us which is rare because Dallas has so many good restaurants constantly opening we almost never vow to return to a place but Catch will bring us back.More infoCatch DallasPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Uptown•4.6
- TThomasDallas - Fort Worth •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe toasted marshmallow expresso martini alone could have me coming back for years. Don’t let them confuse you different liquors (vodka, courvoisier, tequila), all of which are up charges. Just order it as normal, made with cognac. It is amazing. That damn drink will change your life. I’m usually not impressed with fried chicken, but theirs is really deserving of praise. A little spicy, not too salty…perfect. Only complaint? I hate when restaurants (I’m not picking on K+K only!) make you buy sides at a premium. Man, just include a side with a meal. Don’t make me buy a family-sized mashed potatoes for $11 when I’m already paying 20 bucks for two pieces of fried chicken. Right? That’s crazy. All in all, really great place. And awesome to go to before a show next door at the Majestic (get reservations on show nights!).More infoKitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley - DallasPrice: Moderate• Regional American (Southern)• Downtown•4.5
