Montana was our server, and she provided outstanding service. The portion sizes were generous. The chef faced a challenge in getting the lambchop dish evenly heated; the outside was piping hot, but the inside was cold. Even after a second attempt to warm it up, the inside remained cool rather than hot. However, the dish was tasty and even better as a microwaved leftover! The complimentary valet parking was an added bonus. Be cautious with some of the dishes, as they can be very high in sugar, particularly if you're watching your carbohydrate intake. Overall, a great dining experience.

The best experience we have had at this location since it started in Avalon. They brought me a Birthday dessert at no charge. Our waiter Made the evening the best! I think the waiters name was Matub ? He made us feel like we were the most special customers in the room! You need to clone him so all of your wait staff treats your customers so wonderful! My go-to restaurant. Food and service are always excellent. Great ambience somewhere between fancy and fun. Chop House never disappoints.

We are VERY sad tho hear that the new landlords have informed Cafe on Lumpkin that they can no longer remain in their current space. This is very disheartening. I really hope they are able to continue in a different location, and I hope the new owner of the building understands how disappointed the Athens community feels about the closure of Cafe on Lumpkin.
