Restaurants près de Old Thorns Golf Course

We have been to The Three Horseshoes a few times now and always enjoyed great food, lovely service and a classically smart pub atmosphere, with log fires in winter and a sunny terrace in summer. An understandably shortish menu still manages to blend excellent pub food staples with a handful of more innovative starters and mains. There are also several delicious bar snacks to enjoy while deciding on bigger dishes from the menu. If we lived closer we would undoubtedly make our occasional visits more regular.

Attended the evening of Thursday 13 February 2025. Nice surroundings. Taken straight to our table. Plenty of waiters. Unfortunately our waiter, while adequate, wasn’t as attentive as we noticed others were. We waited approximately 25 minutes between the starter and the main which we thought was a little excessive. An optional side was not delivered with the main and had to be re-asked for. Food was excellent, not budget but worth the overall cost. Service charge included in the bill and was not questioned, because despite the above minor negative points, was happy with the overall experience and will eat there again.

We had the set cause lunch menu and the choice and quality was excellent, the service was very good. Overall a pleasant experience which I would recommend

First time here, impressed with the efficient service, food and staff. Delicious food presented well. Good selection of wine. Really enjoyable evening. Reasonably priced, great value for money. A return trip is already planned.

We've visited The Royal Exchange on many occasions. The staff are lovely & the food is great.
