- NnancySan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI made a reservation for my niece and her Australian boyfriend who are visiting New York from Toronto. Her Nana and I treated them to dinner for her birthday. They absolutely loved it! And judging by the photos, the food looked fabulous! Thank you for the extra touch by giving her a birthday cupcake. I’ve been hearing about Beauty & Essex for years from a fellow Canadian. I hope I get to visit one day! Thanks again for giving them a wonderful experience.More infoBeauty & Essex- New YorkPrice: Expensive• Unspecified• Lower East Side•4.6
- GGraceNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoI went to Wabi Nori with my family, and we had an amazing experience. The interior design of the restaurant is truly elegant and beautifully reflects modern Japanese aesthetics. The minimalist artwork on the walls and the warm lighting immediately made us feel comfortable. The menu had so many options that it was hard to choose, but the staff were incredibly helpful. We ordered salmon sashimi, dragon roll, and crab nigiri. The dragon roll, in particular, might be the best sushi I’ve ever had! The flavors were so well-balanced, and the freshness was undeniable. The yuzu lemonade they recommended was a delightful surprise as well. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive; we felt truly special. Wabi Nori has definitely become a place we’ll visit frequentlyMore infoWabi Nori Hand Roll BarPrice: Expensive• Sushi• Lower East Side•4.5
- RRaniNew York City •1 review4.0Dined 7 days agoIf you order a cheeseburger as I did, note that's all you get, no little greens or fries with it. Also, it's the yellow sliced, non-cheese cheese. The host noted that the people in front of us did not have a reservation and then disappeared without saying anything to us--we did have a reservation, and our friends (as it turned out) were already there, but we ended up waiting about ten minutes for the host to arrive, ask about our reservation and shown to our table. I had asked for a quiet table so we could talk. I understand it's never "quiet," but did not expect to be seated right next to the speaker and right next to others on the long bench. We were shouting just to hear each other. They could have given us a separate table atleast, away from the speakers. I won't be coming back though everyone was friendly, because this is New York and there are other choices.More infoDudley'sPrice: Moderate• Café• Lower East Side•4.6
- HHugoNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 13, 2024We always have a great time at Bar Contra. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Small plates from wild air are delicious and the cocktails are creative and there is something for every one. Theo is the best! We always try to sit at the bar when him and his colleague are there, usually on Fridays. Will be coming back repeatedlyMore infoBar ContraPrice: Moderate• American• Lower East Side•4.5
