The history of Milwaukee dates to the early 17th and 18th centuries when traders first began to travel through and eventually settle in what is now Milwaukee. Deep European roots brought craftsmen and skilled hands to the area and to this day an ethic of hard work and determination inhabits the spirit of the city. Early on the area was full of coopers, butchers, shoemakers, and farmers. Milwaukee’s beer history started in the 1840’s, driven by the presence of the frontier settlement near the Great Lakes. Immigrants, including Welsh and German settlers, yearned for the native beers of their homelands, so they embarked on making delicious craft beer with techniques from their native countries.     My wife and I celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary here, and we absolutely loved it! Although we arrived a little later than our reservation time, the staff was very accommodating. We had to order a bit faster, but it wasn’t an issue at all. The food was incredible—everything tasted perfect! We enjoyed our drinks, appetizer, and entrées, all of which were top-notch. Our waiter was not only friendly but also impressively quick with the drink refills! The atmosphere inside was stunning, creating the perfect vibe for a special evening. To top it all off, we were served a delicious flourless chocolate cake that was out of this world. I’d definitely recommend this place for any special occasion! Thank you for making our anniversary unforgettable.

    This was one of the best tasting menus we have experienced. We have enjoyed many Michelin starred and James Beard awarded restaurants and Birch is now one of our absolute favorites. Incredible value for a phenomenal meal. Sit at the chef’s counter and ask for Catie, her personality, knowledge, and expertise added to the overall ambiance.

    Always a great time at our favorite steakhouse! Stephanie is the best waitress! She’s very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and proactive. Would highly recommend her upon request when booking your reservation. We had our 6 month old with us and Stephanie was so accommodating to our needs. Thank you again for a wonderful evening!

    Absolutely incredible experience and will be dining again! All of the food was amazing, service was incredible and at a great pace, absolutely loved it. The one thing I didn't love was that, although there was a dress code, some patrons were wearing short sleeved shirts, graphic tees, and shorts - which made my partner and I feel a little silly for taking the dress code so seriously. But otherwise, 10/10 and I will be going again! (Also, the prices were far more reasonable than I thought!)
