Restaurants near Pass Manchac Light

We moved to New Orleans over 6 years ago, one of the draws was the vast possibilities for dining out. Although we will probably never exhaust our list of places to try we return again and again to GW Fins. It’s been #1 on our list for years now because they consistently deliver the best dining experience on every level, first and foremost the quality of the food and service. Last night was another perfect meal from appetizer to dessert, and Marlon was delightful. Much praise and many thanks go to Gary Wollerman and Chef Michael Nelson.

Every aspect of the dining experience was superb. The food was as good as it gets, and the server could not have been better. 527 is our favorite restaurant. It’s always a great dining experience.

I had been to Brennen’s almost 50 years ago!!! My father told me to go to Brennens for breakfast and order the “Milk Punch.” And so coming again 50 years later Brennens did not disappoint . Everything about my past experience there came flushing back to me, only this time I appreciated being there even more. It was still so beautiful and the food was amazing. My husband had the Scottish egg dish and I had the Duck egg and Duck meat hash. Superb food and beautiful decor . Don’t miss the Brennens experience. Pictures to follow… we even came back the same day for happy hour cocktails.

I didn't catch the name of the maitre d' but he set the tone for our wonderful dining experience. When making the reservation, I did not mention it being my birthday (I still don't know how he knew), but he greeted us with a warm smile and wished me a happy birthday. Paul, our server, continued the fantastic service. He explained the special menu items and was patient with my 10 and 7-year old boys as we asked questions and explored the choices. Our beverage levels were closely monitored but not intrusive, and the food was perfection. None of us had any room for dessert, but the complementary and phenomenal birthday bread pudding (with a lit candle and four spoons!) topped off a delightful evening.

We had an excellent set of staff waiting on us and they were very attentive. The food all the way around excellent from the steak to the fish types, salads, and appetizers. That beet salad never fails to disappoint.. We had friends from out of town were wowed by how good the steaks and fish were. One thing we’ve learnt is we will never disappoint company bringing them here and we thank you for that
