Restaurants near Pickett Park

This speakeasy-ish spot was crazy wonderful - once we found it! It’s tucked away on a side street off of Beale. The appetizer - smoked bacon with goat cheese and currants - slayed. Our waiter, Greg, couldn’t have been nicer. In terms of interiors, the blue-tinted windows framed in rough hewn wood that contrasted to the boxy, modern light fixtures, (set low, of course), plus the live blues music duo nestled in the corner was intoxicatingly delicious. It’s right up there on my list of exquisite dining experiences. Even better, since we ate there we got free tickets to the blues club below. It’s the total date night package. Such a kick!

We attend Porch & Parlor Prime for our Anniversary for the first time. Our Host Blake was the best. The ambience indeed restaurant was everything. The food was all around perfect and came out hot. Every dish we tried was a100. We will definitely be back to dine soon.

The atmosphere was upscale. I love the variety at the salad bar. The majority of the meats were very tender, we enjoyed the Portuguese sausage, bacon wrapped chicken, parmesan steak, and the flank steak. The offered sides were delicious I would have liked some sweet tea, being that we are in the south. The rolls lacked flavor and color and I'm not just saying because I'm a trained pastry chef. Overall the table enjoyed the restaurant. Thank you and your great servers.

Could not have had a better experience to celebrate my mother’s 75th birthday! We were seated immediately, taken care of exquisitely by our server, and the food was amazing! The server even decorated my mother’s dessert with the 7 and 5 backwards to make it look like she’s only 57, which we had been joking about. As we left, the server even chased us down in the parking lot because my mother had left one of her gifts on the table. Highly recommend for any special occasion!!

Food and service were great. Neat concept - serving food as a flight, as well as serving wines like that. The table was kinda small - we both had wine flights and dinner flights that took up a lot of room. Very noisy. Don’t plan on having conversations.
