Restaurants near Platt Island

First visit to Truluck’s and it was a success. 12oz filet, scallops, miso sea bass and lamb chops were the entrees ordered. Everything was superb! The scallops were marinated and had a distinct taste. If you prefer pan fried with butter or oil this will be noticeably different. Now let me talk about the service. Our party of six dines often. A mix of fine dining and established sit down restaurants with various food cuisines. Our waiter was fabulous! It’s the little things like the use of the crumb knife and the 4oz pours when refilling your wine glass that made the visit special. In the end, a special comped dessert for our birthday guest. Over the top delicious Baked Alaska , flamed with rum. Bam! Thank you Truluck’s, we will be back.

Definitely worth a visit! Ambience is lovely and our server was excellent!! Friendly, attentive. He had a great demeanor and kept a good pace. His timing was spot on! We weren't that hungry having had a big Christmas dinner the night before but we wanted to get to downtown with family and see the holiday lights and displays so we had reserved a table in November knowing how busy Christmas week is. The deviled eggs appetizer were excellent. The waiter offered to cut the order (usually 6) in half since there were only 3 of us. The lamb chops were tasty as were the scallops w/ risotto. The lobster tails were just ok; not really worth the money. The truffle french fries were yummy! Didn't get to enjoy dessert; too full and no drinks but we'll be back and look forward to another wonderful meal!

We sat outside - location was not ideal as it was next to kitchen entrance. It kind of felt like we were stuck in a corner for bad behavior. Next time will request a better location. Server (I don’t think he gave us his name ) was excellent. Food was great - would love the recipe for chicken tortilla soup. Happy New Year!

We had a 7:00 pm reservation and we were promptly seated at 7:00 pm. When I made the reservation I asked to be seated in the quieter area of the restaurant, which they did. Our waitress, Veronica, was great and made several recommendations on entrees. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was cooked to perfection and was delicious. We had the lump crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and it was delicious. I had the 8 oz filet mignon, medium/rare with the broccolini and mashed potatoes. It was excellent. Cooked just right and the portion size was satisfying. My wife had the roasted mushroom flatbread and it was delicious. We truly enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner at Season 52.

Sat near the kitchen. Felt like I was watching The Bear! The kitchen staff was amazing. Organized, efficient, team focused and great attitudes. Kudos to the team. Our waitress was awesome, too! Pleasant, knowledgeable, witty and helpful. Even took photos for us for my husbands bday. And she was busy too! Dinner was awesome we all loved our apps and meals! Always great at the Hawk!
