- KKimVancouver / British Columbia •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoEverything was excellent except the noise level being seated in the wine room it was very noisy with so many sounds coming from all areas could not hear my husband who is not quiet when the server asked a question when I heard it I had to repeat a few times so husband could answer so not much conversation could be had. Which is why ambiance got a low mark. And of course I had to have dessert so we got it to go to enjoy back at hotel where it’s a little quieter. Thank you for a wonderful dinner though and a excellent server!More infoJoe Fortes Seafood & Chop HousePrice: Expensive• Seafood• West End•4.7

- SSamSeattle / Eastern Washington •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoValentine's dinner and we hadn't had sushi for a long while. Thought about the Omakase but opted for la carte instead to get more freedom of choice. Food was great, we really enjoyed the specialty rolls we got as well as the Chef's sashimi. So much so that we got more sashimi a la carte. I really really wish they had squid/ika sashimi as well. That's our preferred sashimi and the only thing that was missing to make the dinner perfect. I would have also appreciated a cocktail or 2 but that's rare at sushi spots, so no issue with that. The ambiance was surprisingly fantastic. Not too noisy, they played some great Rn'B throughout the evening (Sushi while enjoying Erikah Badu? Win win). I particularly like how much space there was between tables and sections. We were a lot more comfortable than at many such restaurants You could have a conversation without having to yell. The service was nice. Had a reservation and didn't have to wait more than a few minutes for a table. I don't have high expectations around how often service persons come to your table or chat with you. So the relatively stoic personality of our waiter was just fine. Various staff members came by to refill waters and especially ginger and wasabi, which we always appreciate. They also brought food at a nice pace. It's a little inconvenient when all your orders arrive at the same time and you have to uncomfortably manage your table and rush. We got our plates 2 at a time, each round when we just finished the previous. They deserved that 25% tip. The prices were not bad, and it always works in our favor (Washingtonians) once exchange rates kick in. There was a parking garage right next door. From some gym which had a lot of reserved spots but we did manage to find some availability. Considering we didn't have to pay, it was no hassle at all. A long review just to say it's a great spot to add to the collection! We certainly will be back. Thank you for a pleasant evening, Temaki!More infoTemaki SushiPrice: Moderate• Sushi• Kitsilano•4.7
- VVickiMinneapolis - St. Paul •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe’ve been here many times, I think Valentine’s Day made it not quite as smooth of an experience as usual. The cocktails were top notch, the sablefish risotto was fantastic, pizza amazing as always, the burger was good but not as good as previous ones. My only negative comment on this restaurant is the metal chair legs on the concrete floors are horrendously noisy and it takes away from the atmosphere. Still love this place and truly understand the Michelin Recommended!More infoSocial Corner YaletownPrice: Expensive• Italian• Yaletown•4.5
