Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios.     We LOVED this restaurant. We sat inside so we couldn’t see the movie, but that wasn’t really an issue. The restaurant itself was stunning. Our server David was absolutely lovely. He really made our experience. The food was great, we got the smoked salmon, burrata with pears, sesame chicken, and pork chop. Everything was delicious. For dessert we got crème brûlée and a sort of chocolate mousse. Fantastic. It’s an expensive date but you pay for the food and the experience. Would go again!

    We had a pre-theater dinner. Seated promptly at reservation time. Orange and beet salad was a perfect combo I wouldn't have thought of. Both mains were very good. The mushrooms on the risotto stood out. Tables are close, but this is a city after all.

    I always love the level of care the staff give you, I really wish I got my servers name, he was absolutely delightful! Food came out very fast and everything was delicious. I also got the virgin pina colada and one of the best!
