Restaurants near Remax Shopping Center

What a pleasant surprise! We mourned the loss of our favorite local Mexican restaurant, Joaquin’s, a couple of years ago. It was empty for a while, but finally reopened as Dive, a small chain with Cajun themed seafood. Our hostess/server, “Bar,” was engaging, friendly, and helpful. She had good suggestions and in-depth knowledge of the dishes. All the shellfish, both cooked and raw, were fresh and properly prepared. The flavors top-notch. It’s a bright and airy space, quiet with only three or four tables occupied on a Tuesday night—40% off bottle of wine night. My only ding is the pricing—a bit expensive for such a casual experience. Quality seafood is not cheap, but $15 for bread pudding is a bit much unless you’re in a very fancy place. Also, a charge for a bit of bread for the table (good bread—toasted) always rankles me. Still, in the dining desert that is Yorba Linda, we’ll be back.

What a wonderful dining experience today at Story! We both ordered the double smash burger which was cooked perfectly, and fries came hot and crisp. The bottomless Mimosas were yummy and truly bottomless, and my friend was treated to a sweet complimentary birthday dessert. Our waitperson Lucas was very professional and personable, and we really appreciated his attentive service throughout the entire meal. Looking forward to our next visit back!

Met some friends for dinner here and was happy to see how busy they were. We enjoyed the Guacamole, Esquites, and Octopus with Chorizo starters and would recommend all three. The Black cod, fajitas, and Birria were fantastic as well. Gill took great care of us too. A fun night enjoyed by all.

Tacos were excellent as was the pasta with shrimp and chicken. It was my Wife's birthday and she was given a bowl of homemade ice cream and a macaroon. Both delicious too.

We had someone with a nut allergy and the manager went out of their way to make a separate plate which was much appreciated. Lovely service over Thanksgiving.
