- JJimmyNew York City •8 reviews4.0Dined todayAmbiance and music were great. Food was well prepared. My shared the seafood flautas which were great tasting. My wife had the quesadillas which were good. I had the shirt ribs which could have used more sides beyond the ribs themselves for the price. The service was friendly, but slow. We had to ask for water a few times with servers looking around trying to look busy. The drinks menu was a bit limited as it was almost entirely margaritas. Overall, it was good for a date night. I'd go back to check out their other menu items.More infoBesito Mexican - West IslipPrice: Moderate• Mexican• West Islip•4.8

- BBRIANNew York City •13 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoITA Kitchen in Bay Shore is a hidden jem among all the restaurants along Main Street. When walking in the door you are warmly greeted and led to your awaiting table. We were sat out in the back of the property in a heated tent with permanent walls complete with gorgeous decorations and enough heat/ac ducts to make you more than feel like you are not dining outside in the 35 degree weather. The waiter we had was fantastic. Friendly, welcoming but not over bearing or hovering at all. As a waiter you need to be able to read the table and see how much attention certain patrons require. Everyone is not the same; some need more and some are very happy with the minimum and our server read us like a book. Drinks were great; tiramisu martini and a gingerbread Moscow mule(complete with a gingerbread man floater). Apps we had to go with the Ma, The Meatballs!! as well as the pesto arancini, both were delicious. We then had the chicken cutlet/vodka sauce/mozzarella entree and the veal chop/ prosciutto/ mozzarella truffle mushroom sauce/risotto. Man let me start by saying, damn!!! Huge portions but the flavor was spot on and my eyes rolled in the back of my head on the very first bite. I’m a professionally trained executive chef who has worked in many a NYC three star kitchen and trust me when I say, run don’t walk to have this veal chop. Best single dish of food that I have had in a very long time. Amazing. Could only finish half it was so enormous. Dessert was tiramisu and a cappuccino which is my go to dessert. Again spot on. It was a great meal and I am glad I didn’t pick Chili’s for a burger tonight 😂 Bravo to the entire Team at ITA Kitchen; and to the Chef, hats off to a phenomenal meal that I am so very grateful to have enjoyed . I will be back 1000%. Great food, great service, lovely atmosphere and an overall fantastic experience is a recipe for a winner 🏆 Great job all around 👏More infoITA KitchenPrice: Expensive• Italian• Bay Shore•4.4
- GGinaGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe recently dined at The James to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The restaurant’s decor was beautiful—elegant and welcoming, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special occasion. The service was outstanding; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly valued as guests. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish prepared to perfection. To make the evening even more memorable, the staff surprised us with a glass of champagne each and a thoughtful birthday card for my husband. It was such a kind and personal touch that truly elevated the experience. Overall, it was an exceptional evening, and I would definitely return. Whether for a celebration or just a nice dinner out, this is a place I would highly recommendMore infoThe JamesPrice: Very Expensive• Continental• Babylon•4.5
