Café Sbisa, established in 1899 and the third oldest fine-dining establishment in the French Quarter, is proud to re-open under the direction of a new team to once again offer the highest quality French-Creole cuisine in a welcoming, historical setting that both locals and tourists will appreciate.     I visited here in May 2023 for my birthday. Fantastic, attentive waitstaff. We went here for my birthday. The local fish was fantastic. Perfectly cooked. The cocktails were good here too. The dessert was fantastic too! 😀 I returned here February 25, 2025. The red fish was moist and prepared well. Get the bananas foster! Learn all about how it was invented. The ice cream is delicious and also the bananas with the liqueur on top of them. The scallops looked amazing. The oysters were excellent! I would get the oysters again!

    Jesse was an awesome waitress/server. She made excellent recommendations and was so fun. The food and drinks were fantastic. We appreciated our attendant, Roland, who shared Antoine’s history with us. Our first trip to New Orleans couldn’t have started with a better dining experience.

    There were only two tables in the upstairs so the noise level obviously was low. The server was delightful and we chatted for a while. The shrimp in the shrimp and grits dish were done perfectly, but the grits lacked flavor. My gumbo was fairly standard. The star of the show is the crème brûlée. Make sure you order it.
