Restaurants near San Diego Zoo

We always have a great experience at Prado. The salads are delicious and you can add shrimp, salmon or chicken. The hamburger is huge and the fries are so good. I love the Arugula salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly. My husband had the shrimp cobb salad that was very large and filling. We enjoy having a nice glass of wine while soaking up the lovely view from the patio and the warm sunshine. We'll be back soon.

We really loved the space! It had a great, almost club like atmosphere. I ordered the filet mignon, which I had to cook table side. It was brought to me on a hot stone. It came with rustic potatoes, best potatoes I ever had. My fiance ordered the chicken breast, the chicken was very bland and dry, he was pretty disappointed. Over all great experience, staff was very friendly, will come back. 

Mister A’s is a constant in fine dining. The level of attentiveness is extraordinary and is experienced with every interaction. And you can’t beat a burnt orange old fashion.

Highly recommend Ahi Tuna Melt! Excellent and the tuna is smoked in-house. Delicious! Apple pie cheesecake was a perfect ending! Walking around the zoo helped burn off the calories! Lilia was our server and was so friendly and knowledgeable.

We haven't been here in over a year, but it won't be long before we'll be back. The food was a wow which rarely happens in my dining experience. We like to sample a lot of different items, so we spent a lot of time on the "Bites" part of the menu, and it was all fantastic. Each item we had was very well crafted and well executed to deliver some extraordinary flavor combinations. The Oysters, Tostados, Handrolls, and Steak tartar were all highlights and not what you would normally expect for these types of dishes. the Dover Sole was very enjoyable, but it was a special so won't always be there. Not a huge wine list but well covered and you could get many nice wines by the glass that are normally reserved for by the bottle lists. I highly recommend going, we will go back very soon.
