The menu follows a Southern-fried meat-and-three concept, meaning diners order a meat, plus three sides. Those will include Ruthie’s mac and cheese, of course, but also white-soy-braised greens, stewed chickpeas and smoked cauliflower with a spicy soy glaze. “We’re going to be changing it a lot based on seasonality,” Hill says of the menu. “ Every vegetable has got to be fantastic because it has to stand on its own.” One thing that will help that: Hill is already growing all of the restaurant’s own herbs at his South Arlington community garden plot.

Our selection of nine desserts are all made fresh daily in-house and feature Greek classics such as the baklava and the galaktoboureko. Our wine list is meticulously curated on a seasonal basis by son Philip Hobson selecting from Greece's top vineyards who produce indigenous varietals such as Assyrtiko & Xinomavro, and western grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon & Sauvignon Blanc. Our beer selection focuses on bottled Greek brews while our bar is fully stocked to serve both classic cocktails and signature drinks inspired by the best bars in Athens. Each member of our group ordered the healthy grain salad - with an accompanying protein. This was the perfect mid-day meal on an unusually warm day. We saved room for the warm campfire cookies with a scoop of house made ice cream.

We were there to celebrate the retirement of two of my wonderful former colleagues, who long ago became cherished friends. We couldn’t have had a better time! Service, table, food, and drink were the best. Lunch couldn’t have been more enjoyable!

Great service, great food, generous portions. Place was absolutely packed for Sunday brunch even though we had a 2:15pm reservation. It is very lively and a bit loud inside so if you're catching up with an old friend then you might want to sit outside. The salmon toast was amazing (add an egg on top). The short rib mac and cheese was really good as well. Biscuits and gravy was very flavorful but not like normal southern biscuits grave. Everything was delish and service was great! Will definitely be back to try more things!

The food was absolutely delicious and they a good variety for everyone. The staff was very friendly, quick, and helpful. Each area had a different ambience so the entire place is very interesting to look at. The bar area reminded me of the TV show Cheers. All in all, it was a great experience.
