Chaplin's Restaurant & Bar is a 1930's style Japanese Ramen House and cocktail bar. Chaplin's Executive Chef and Partner, Myo Htun, is originally from Burma, but was cooking ramen in Japan at a young age. Myo received a blessing from his mentor in Japan after nearly 30 years of cooking in Japan, to come to America and continue to showcase his authentic Ramen and traditional Japanese cuisine. Chaplin's Restaurant demonstrates the aesthetic of a bustling ramen house in Japan in the 1930's silent film era. There is also a large outdoor dining area that is dog friendly. We are a Laotian restaurant in the heart of the neighborhood of Shaw. Baan Mae means Mom's house in Laotian. We especially appreciated how many vegetarian items were available. Great place to meet friends with different diets and tastes for a delicious meal at a reasonable price!

    The food here was exceptionally good. Bright bold flavors and exciting menu choices that made me want to order everything. Drinks on point as well. Service very friendly and food came out quickly too. All around checks the boxes. I can't wait to go back, definitely a new favorite/staple.

    We LOVED it here! The parking was easy. The vibe was cool. The service was quick, cheerful and attentive! The people in the next table celebrated a birthday and the presentation was cute and festive! The food was AMAZING and the drinks were delicious and not watered down. 10/10! Highly recommend! Will absolutely return!
