My sister and I had a delicious lunch today at Mallards. We both had the jambalaya--terrific--and shared a piece of key lime pie. Our server was very attentive.

Great post UWM graduation brunch/lunch spot! Breakfast potatoes still great. Everyone was pleased.

A revised menu and the favorite Flammekueche is back!! -- thin crispy flatbread with freme fraiche, bacon, and onions. We shared three flatbreads with our group of 6 people and had more than enough to go around which we paired with litters of German beer and wine. Very attentive waitress given the crowded atmosphere enjoying the annual Tuba Christmas -- always a fun place with great beer and staff.

We had a great meal at Avli! We got there earlier than our reservation, so we had a nice drink at the bar and then were seated promptly at our appointed time. We did a variety of hot and cold meze and made a meal out of that. Favorites included: dolmades, zucchini fritters, octopus and an amazing dish with cheese and peppered fig. Service was attentive without being intrusive. I had been to Avli previously but my 3 guests had not—everyone began to plan return visits.
