My husband and daughter and I went for new years dinner From start to finish was a wonderful experience The waitress very friendly and helpful in me getting a non alcoholic drink because I drive Very briefly atmosphere and great service and good food choices Highly recommended fir small groups large group or even if you are going solo

I took my best friend last night for her birthday, with a prior reservation. We were seated right away and served in a timely manner. Our waitress was lovely, and took lots of time to explain the menu, and recommended dishes (plus some of her faves). The food came hot, and in good time to eat our appetizers and enjoy some drinks. We both had the top sirloin and it was fantastic!! Highly recommend!! My friend ended up getting a dessert on the house with a really cute card signed by the staff. We felt very appreciated! We will definitely be back very soon with our husbands in tow next time!

The dining experience at Black Tartan Kitchen is simply exceptional. From the food (amazing), the presentation, wine pairings, service, and ambiance, all aspects of this restaurant are outstanding. Chef Ian takes the time to describe each course and almost everything is locally sourced so you are supporting businesses and families in the community. Ian also takes the time to visit each table to ask about your dining experience. The Black Tartan is Carleton Place’s hidden gem, and we absolutely love dining there. This is a must if you appreciate great food and fine dining at its best!!

Good gluten free nut burger options for us! Fireplace 🔥 was nice to take the chill out of the room.
