When you claim that you’re adding a signature steakhouse experience, every detail has to be considered to transform you from the stresses of business and life. The décor is modern, but not pretentious. The ambiance is sophisticated and multisensory, yet comfortable. The staff is educated, but not showy. The uniforms are unique, but classically tasteful.Like the restaurant itself, the menu departs from a classic steakhouse without chasing away traditionalists. Categories range from classic steaks and chops to seafood – including lobster tail. We said robust, right? Double Cut literally means so large that your jaw hits the table. Larger portions, tons of ambiance. There’s the dinner bell. Where’s that steak knife?

Just a few steps down from the porches is an open deck situated beneath gracious Live Oak canopies. I moved here from Southern California where good restaurants are plentiful and I can be a bit finicky. My friends in the Round Rock area have highly recommended whiskey cake, but for some reason I could never make it to the restaurant. Unfortunately due to a death in the family, I thought it best to take my parents out for a late lunch to lift their spirits, and this restaurant did not disappoint! Everything was stellar from the excellent service by Manny to the unbelievably delicious signature dessert!

What a memorable night! It was worth the wait of having to make a reservation months in advance. We dined on a Friday evening and there was such a synergy to the entire restaurant. Even the Chef on expo looked so at ease with tickets flying in, he stopped and said hi to a smiling baby. Our server Kevin made us feel welcomed and as if we were the only table he was serving, just flawless. The steak cut like butter, it was perfect and highly recommend. The gnocchi reminded me of the last time I was in Italy, just delicious fluffy pillows. Our 9 year old had the Bolognese and it was bursting with flavor which was unexpected but delightful. We also had the meatballs and garlic bread, a perfect way to start the meal. Save room for dessert, you will not be disappointed. The only criticism was that our table was by the entry door and it was drafty and cold. I had to keep my jacket on during dinner, but other than that we look forward to returning in March!
