For the last 18 years, Joe Hennes and his wife Ellen have been building a family-oriented meeting place for friends to gather at Sloppy Joe's Saloon and Spoon in Hubertus. In December 2020, they purchased this property, and brought the philosophy of food, fun, and laughter from Washington County to Lake Country. They renamed the property Smoke on the Water to reflect the revamped menu which includes a large selection of home-smoked meat items.     Absolute PERFECTION from beginning to end. We had the Espresso Martini. Pisco Pear Sour. Various beers. Penelope Toasted Bourbon. Complimentary bread service. French Onion Soup. Herb Crusted Sea Bass. Rack of Red Deer. Side of Wild Mushrooms. Chocolate Creme Brulee. And complimentary Pot de Creme for our Anniversary. Possibly the best meal and service I’ve ever had!

    My wife and I have been at ID a few times and have always had a great experience. We like to try different spots but nothing really compares to ID. The food is fresh and unique and full of flavor. The craft cocktails are really fun to try and the staff seems to enjoy what they do. We woke up this morning talking about the short rib tacos…we’ll be back for those real soon….cheers!

    We had an outstanding first experience at the Red Circle Inn last night for my wife's birthday. I would classify this restaurant as a historic fine-dining supper club. The staff were wonderful and the restaurant was beautifully decorated and clean. They even hand-wrote a card for my wife's birthday and the servers all signed it and had it all displayed on the table before we even arrived. We had the walleye, perch, and beef stroganoff with cheese curds and French onion soup appetizers. There was even a relish tray with sourdough crackers, cheese spread, olives, and peppers. It was all very delicious. In summary, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want an elevated dining experience with a supper club feel.
