Restaurants near Texas Scottish Rite Museum

My wife and I were traveling home today through Waco, so we had lunch today for the first time at Magnolia Table. We made reservations on Open Table earlier that morning, which I’d advise you do. Located in the historic building on the Circle that formerly housed the Waco Elite Cafe, our lunch was amazing. As a starter, we had some of the best, most buttery biscuits we’ve ever tasted, accompanied by a flight of four homemade fruit, spice, and honey butters. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich on a homemade croissant, and I had a patty melt on buttery Texas toast. Both of us enjoyed their fabulous fries that you can dip in their tangy fry sauce. As if the food wasn’t good enough, our server was a super polite, very attentive young man named Adam. Great first experience! We’ll be back!

The food was excellent as was the beer. The waiter was very polite and helpful discussing the menu. Will definitely go back. Recommend the sausage platter with the house made sausage, My granddaughter raved about the pretzel.

Went with a group of 8 for a guys trip. No waiters coming to your tables which worried us at first. But there was a BBQ truck in the lot next to the building with AMAZING FOOD. You got a lot for your money and it was delicious. The lack of waiters was made up by the staff of the bar. Very attentive and quick with our drink orders. We went early but it was still pretty crowded and they were training new employees, and they didn’t miss a beat!

Bjs was our family's halfway point in Waco so I made a reservation knowing how great their food is.we had 8 people and the noise level was so amazingly quiet. We were able to talk and visit without shouting. The waitress was helpful, efficient and friendly. And so patient and not rushing us. All food ordered was perfect and delicious. Had dessert as well. Loved bjs and will be back!

Food very tasty and service is good and waiter was kind. I would recommend.
