- YYelenavipSacramento / Sacramento Valley •13 reviews5.0Dined 1 day ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 9/10 Dining at Seneca in San Diego felt like stepping into a dream — the atmosphere was enchanting, with breathtaking views and an ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Our server, Victor, was nothing short of exceptional. His attentiveness, patience, and thoughtful menu suggestions elevated the entire experience. He navigated the evening with grace, making us feel truly cared for. The only reason this isn’t a perfect 10/10 is that the food took longer than expected to arrive. For a moment, time seemed to stretch — but when the dishes finally graced our table, every bite was a masterpiece. It was a delay we were willing to forgive for such a culinary experience. Seneca isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a destination. I’ll be back — and next time, I’ll be ready to savor every second. 🍷✨More infoSenecaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.7
- LLeeAnnSan Diego •4 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoMiguel's itself was great. Five stars. The food was delicious. Love being right on the pier. The service was good. The problem was the pre-paid dinner for the parade of lights. I didn't MIND pre-paying, but if you don't use the whole amount, you lose it. We had 165.00 left! We all ordered desserts that we didn't really want. Still didn't reach our money paid. I could have let that go because we had a nice show with the parade of lights, but I was really upset that the amount left COULD NOT BE APPLIED to Tax and gratuity!!! On top of losing money, we had to PAY the tax and gratuity separate. I'm not sure if this policy is Miguel's or Open Table's, but IT IS WRONG!!! Like I said, I did not mind pre-paying to assure our seats, but this was a rip-off!!!!!!More infoMiguel's - Portside PierPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.4
- RRandallvipSan Diego •44 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWell now. It was a romantic date night and Animae was the Choice. Parking is $20 just know that. On arrival we weee greeted by three lovely ladies and they were most welcoming. We were escorted to our table (the very first table off the lobby and right next to a service station. So not the best, but o chose to let it be and see how it goes. How it went was marvelous. The staff was very quiet and courteous and the service staton was not noisy at all. Being the first table by the lobby and right next to the bar made it a bit more noisy, but nothing to complain about. The server was great. She knew the menu and when we were chatting about menu items she hit it out of the park with recommendations. We ordered some drinks and -low - in your face fantastic. $18 each or more so the tab runs up pretty quickly. The crudo and the cucumbers were a delight. The mains, the filet and the tomahawk pork chill were a 10 out of 10. The sides- the potatoes and the wagyu fried rice were stellar. Probably the best Fride rice we’d ever had. Really. We did not have dessert as we were full. When anyone got up from the table, the server put the chair in place and re-folded the napkin and laid it on the table. A nice touch. This is a high end of high end places. $395 all in for two. 100% worth it. If there was one thing I would change is that I would lay cocktail napkins or a coaster because our drinks would sweat, make a water puddle on the table and then drip on us both as we raised them to our mouths. A smallest of small nits to pick. Near flawless.More infoAnimaePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary Asian• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.8
- RRajavipSan Diego •33 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoService was excellent. The menu is well laid out but food was just below top notch. The charcuterie board was small and a bit “prepackaged” and my carbonara had large pork belly chucks which done more tender and more flavorful. I thought the pork belles would be crispy and incorporated into the pasta and it was not. Over service is stellar. Food is good, not great. More infoAllegroPrice: Expensive• Italian• Little Italy•4.3
