Restaurants near The Retreat at Wisemans

Food was good, but service wasn’t. After waiting 15 minutes at our table we had to call a server over just to get water. Food arrived quickly as did the drinks once we were able to order. Very noisy and we were sitting near the bubble machine which was annoying. The teenagers we were dining with loved the swing seat and it was a good birthday treat. I had been wanting to go to Th e Grounds for a long time and was happy to see it, not sure I understand the hype and don’t need to go back.

Our experience was wonderful overall. The taste and quality of the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Food better than expected. Loved the crumpets for breakfast and the Paris Brest. Lovely coffee. Will come again.

A short menu. It what we had was just delicious. Fabulous pasta and veal which we shared. Understand why reservations are so hard!

This is a fantastic place and the food was exceptional and lots of selections on the menu for a Special Christmas Day lunch. Staff throughout the restaurant were fantastic as well as the front desk and the bar thank you for making our Christmas Day Special and enjoyable this is our second year for Christmas Day Lunch and we will be back again next year thank you. Also special mention to Marvin who greeted us with a Big Smile and show us to our table. Very nicely run thanks again.
