A modern pub serving a frequently changing menu, available in our dining room, bar, and outside ledges. It's not fine dining, nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, so don’t be afraid to share. If you want to pop in for a burger and a pint, feel free to grab any available space in the bar or outside. Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour. Split between two rooms, the front the engine, the kitchen and bar shared by customers as they perch on bar stools and enjoy dinner and a show. Such a lovely evening! The food was just incredible, particularly the venison tartare, pork loin and beef cheek. Just amazing. Such lovely staff who were always ready to help and even treated us to a complimentary pudding for our special occasion! The Guinness was also a major highlight. Huge fun sitting near the bar upstairs and watching the cooks create everything. Can’t wait to come back again, thank you for looking after us so brilliantly!

Food was excellent as always, and great service. It is pricey but also servings are huge - I’d happily reduce both by 25% and still walk away full instead of wasting anything.
