Restaurants near Van Cortlandt House Museum

Our group of six were seated at a charming corner table at the Hudson Garden Grill located at the New York Botanical Garden,. This allowed for friendly conversation to flow. The wait staff were helpful, welcoming, and attentive. We each had different eating needs ranging from vegan to meat lover and found something delicious to enjoy. This was the perfect place to dine, following our visit to the orchid show on a chilly day.

Excellent all around. The servers were accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly , helpful. The food was fresh, delicious, portions were appropriate. The wine selection was also excellent. I’ve been to this establishment before- it never disappoints. Now they have valet parking! Bravo!

On this visit, a Tuesday, I enjoyed the half-price oyster offer with a full dozen. That was followed by the lamb shank. I requested a different accompaniment—pappardelle instead of orzo—and this was done, no problem. Delicious! As always, the experience was enjoyable. I went early in the evening to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. If you’re there late on Thursday through Saturday, you’re in for some raucous partying. So choose accordingly.

My husband and I come here every year. Our server Myrene was amazing. We also have had Marissa she’s amazing as well. Love the vibe and the service. It feels like home. Will definitely come back ❤️

Food was good, nice waitress, the Riverdale sour cocktail was good. Overall a nice Valentine dinner.
