Great service and atmosphere aren’t the only reasons people have been making the trip to Tony’s for 70 years. Tony’s is the home of the World Famous Pepperloin Steak. This beef tenderloin is marinated in Tony’s secret marinade, rolled in half-cracked black pepper, grilled to perfection, and drizzled with garlic butter. After one bite of this mouth-watering steak, you will never want steak from another restaurant again. It is so tender it can be cut with a butter knife, and it practically melts on your palette. If you are looking for a place to enjoy great drinks in a beautiful setting, check out The Whiskey Bar at Tony’s. We have a premium whiskey selection with all kinds of rare finds, beautiful craft cocktails with fresh house made syrups, our new cherry vanilla house infused bourbon, and an amazing wine list. Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

My husband and I went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time there and the service and food was top notch. We arrived an hour before our reservation and did the wine tasting which was fun! We chose the sweet wines and all eight were very good. The mushroom flatbread was an amazing appetizer, and we both had the surf and turf (I had the pretzel-crusted pork chop and pistachio-crusted grouper, and hubby had the churrasco grilled steak and pistachio-crusted grouper). We both loved our entrees and Mary’s potatoes and grilled vegetables were yummy sides. The pitcher of cranberry sangria was excellent and bigger than we thought it would be. Our waitress was friendly and provided great service. At the end of our meal she brought us truffles and two glasses of Blanc de Blanc - that was a nice surprise and a great ending to our meal. We look forward to going back!

This was my third week in a row having lunch at Cooper’s Hawk in Town and Country. They have the most outstanding and diverse menu with something for everyone. And their desserts are out of this world! (The banoffee pie is my favorite.) Their servers are all amazing - I was recently taken care of by Kay, Trish, Sara and Libby. I will definitely be returning soon!

Hands down, Ramsey’s kitchen has been the best Saint Louis restaurant experience I have had thus far. From the food, to the ambience and passionate staff, this place is a cut above. Given I went on a Monday night for my birthday, the place was quiet, tranquil even- with breathtaking views of the Saint Louis arch and Mississippi River just outside. Yes it is expensive but you can tell care has been taken. Lastly, I’d say this is a great place for EVERYONE to at least try once.
