The krō bär is an eclectic bar with a speakeasy vibe and a passion for spirits and great food with a nod to another era. Tucked away on Main Street in Bothell, a walkable neighborhood teaming with local art, culture and food, the artfully handcrafted krō bär has been reclaimed from the bones of Bothell’s historic hardware store in the Mohn building.     We had a quiet Wednesday lunch here. What was good ... An intriguingly curated cocktail menu - we wanted to try them all! The best fries we have ever had - seriously! Worth the visit just to try them. My wife had an outstandingly good Wagyu beef burger. Service was excellent - Jorge is a star! Ambience - it's an airy open restaurant in the lodge and of course in a beautiful setting. What was moderate ... I had a a cauliflower steak with mushrooms and a cauliflower / mushroom puree. It was good, but just a little bland. I'd have liked a dash of something sharp / spicy to add some lift, but then I do like a kick in my lunch. Nevertheless it was good and nicely prepared and presented. And nothing bad at all. An excellent lunch and good value too. Definitely going again, but I may watch the menu for changes in the vegetarian option.
