This spot was a hub of activity, back in 1911 when the church was built on an ancient route just north of the site where Boone's ferry made regular crossings of the Willamette River for more than 100 years. The namesake of the road and ferry, Alphonso Boone, was grandson of famous American frontiersman Daniel Boone! Today, the interior of the pub is filled with unusual artwork and colorful murals. We had a reunion with old friends at Nostrana. Our party included seven people and we sat in their special section for larger groups. The restaurant truly made this a memorable occasion. The ambience, service and food were all exceptional. It was truly one of the finest restaurant meals we have enjoyed in a long time.

Easy to make the reservation online (though limited open spots) through Open Table. Showed up on time for our Monday 530 pm res for 4 and was greeted with a smile and genuine positive energy. When seated, Brandon, who took great care of us, explained the specials, several of the regular dishes and wine choices. The service was mostly Brandon who was helped by other members of the staff, as well. Noise level was much more muted than usual for an exposed brick decor and lent to the feeling of a cozy dinner. It seemed many of the guests were regulars and gushed over the owners, staff and dishes. We didn't try the desserts as we were stuffed after such wonderful offerings Biggest hits for us were the sunchokes and Bolognese.
