Excellent customer service. The food was good and the Festival of Lights did not disappoint. We aren’t sure what was going on at the mission tonight. Open table showed restaurant was sold out tonight but there were some tables left empty And they were not allowing anyone in the mission inn unless you were staying there. That was odd as they always let us in for photos etc if we eat dinner. But again everything at the restaurant was fantastic.

Service was slow. Food was terrible. It was a birthday celebration and when offered a flan dessert our bill was charged $11 for a birthday dessert. Also $29 for a plain burrito is way overpriced. Being Hispanic there is no way a burrito would cost $29. Meat in the burrito was very salty. Will definitely never recommend this restaurant nor go back.

$23 for guacamole not made tableside and something you can easily make at home. Indifferent hostesses and a 22-minute wait before we were acknowledged by our waiter (despite plenty of empty tables). People at the Mission Inn also brusque and made us show our receipt time and again.

We have a table for five at 8:30. The food was not at his best but like wegot left over s food was cold and not tasty being the last dinner of the night ..for our waitress was nice ,but chips for always cold. We had to ask for water. We had an asked for whatever we needed. She wasn't very attentive, she didn't come and check up on us. We had to get up and go look for her and ask other waitresses to call our waitress. the avocado, guacamole which we paid a lot for ..avocados were not ripe they were hard chunks ....they turn the lights off on us instead of coming to a table telling us that they were going to close ...they close at 10 o'clock. Can you imagine we started at 8:30 pm and by 10 we were barely finishing our dinner the time we got our dinner and got our drinks and appetizers and then they turn the lights off on us ...they could of come over to our table and say we're going to close than 10 minutes.would have nice! The party next to us had to use the phone lite to see the there'd tab and so did I no light to see what our final check! It was so weird to be in the dark to pay ur tab. .. we were petty much forced out! For over $300 for ur dinner u think they be more considerate! I won't be booing a 8:30 dinner there ever again!

A beautiful out door setting at the historic Mission Inn. The menu is up scale Mexican and delicious. The staff was very attentive, even being there with an umbrella when the sun shifted.

5:30 reservation, during Festival of Lights. Outdoor seating, but our waiter brought over a heater for our table, and it was cozy! We arrived 15 min early, and had to wait a few minutes, but no problems. Took a while to order, but food arrived promptly, and quite hot. Tasty chicken enchiladas, bland beans and rice. Service was acceptable considering the craziness of the season! Restaurant seating is surrounded by the glorious Christmas lights for extraordinary ambiance, yet screened off from the hordes of looky-loos. It felt secluded and special. Don't even TRY to eat anywhere in Mission Inn between Thanksgiving and Christmas without a reservation. Hghly recommend for a holiday treat.

Had a great time here. We never felt rushed or under pressure to order something. Chips and salsa came right away and were delicious. We ordered the "grande" margaritas and were disappointed when they came, they seemed like regular size to me. Then our server, Stephen, came and told us that he messed up and would be giving us a free refill. Problem solved. We had the guacamole appetizer and honestly it was probably the best guac we've ever had (and we have it a lot). Our entrees were equally delicious. I had a basic taco salad and my wife had the fish of the day, salmon, and both were fantastic. Not sure what it is they put on their food but there's something that kicks it up a notch from other Mexican restaurants. We were there during the "Festival of Lights at the mission and everything lit up as we were eating making it even more festive. Prices are a little steep for me but were expected.

Party of 6, during busy holiday season. Reservation was at 7 pm and we were timely seated at that time. Our server Julio was great, friendly, funny, attentive. Food was good, very flavorful. Salsa was delicious, noticed the chips were different they look and taste like the big bags you buy at smart and final or Costco. Noticed the prices have increased from 6 months ago. The decorations and surroundings are amazing so you do have to pay for all that extra stuff that makes the mission inn so magical during the holidays
