Extremely rude server. We had to keep waiting and then there were three of us and they gave us one basket of chips and then we asked for another basket of chips to go with the salsa and he said OK. I have to charge you when generally chips are free at every Mexican restaurant. Even additional chips. And for those prices, the chips should be free. Something was in our water looked like cilantro and we asked for a different glass of water and he gave us what appeared to be the same glass with the same straw, and we could never get a new cup of water. Beans and rice was cold and Carnitas in the taco was super fatty. Drove all the way from San Diego to go there and see the lights only to be treated rudely.

Food and service were great. We did come early to see the Inn and lights and have a cocktail in the presidents lounge before dinner. 2 years in a row and they are understaffed, long wait time to get a server and then wait for drinks. That part was not up to par.

Julio server was pleasant but not attentive...would disappear for long periods of time. Took long time to receive drink order and then wrong wine. Had to ask someone for our server to correct it. Salsa chips fish tacos beef burrito just ok.

Food has gone down. Chicken fajitas were tasteless, tortillas cold, overall not good. For 30+ $$ it should be MUCH better. Service was just ok.

The Mission Inn used to be so magical. Now they’re just getting by on their name. We’ve had a couple great experiences there, but more recently had several negative experiences- ranging from poor service, subpar food and dumb mistakes on drink orders. We have tried to love the Mission Inn- we are locals, but we’re not going back.

I could not believe i was eating at the Mission Inn. appitizers guacamole was ok needed salt Birra taste like mole and it was real runny (not what it should taste like) Rice and beans taste like they came from a can. my daughter purchased and acholic drink (watermelon flavor) taste like salt (gross) Waiters never cleared anything off our table. they never came to refill our water I had to ask for more water. My son ordered the Duane's Burrito with no pico (but it still came with pico) he said the only thing good in the burrito was the carne asada. 2 of my daughters said carnitas were good (if that helps anyone) and on top of that you still have to pay a 20% tip + the $300 dollars i paid for this meal i was really looking forward to this late Christmas dinner with my kids.

The service was poor. Took forever to get our food with the restaurant not even being busy. The food is not worth it. The carne asada and other meat portions were very small. Why ate there black beans being served at a Mexican restaurant? The camarones appetizer was salty. Not worth the drive.

We made a reservation for 7:30pm. My friend (the birthday girl) and I arrived at 7:30 to check in & the host said we overbooked for the night so they’ll text us in 30 mins. They text us at 8:16pm that the table is ready. Our server, Stephen, was extremely weird. The food & ambiance was good but I will not be returning.

Glad I made a reservation especially during the Christmas holidays, even though we still had to waist about 20 mins with a reservation, we were impressed with everything. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the two old fashions I ordered were pretty good. Will def. be returning to this place in the future.
