   Lavendou is one of our favorite restaurants and we've been coming here for 20+ years. We went last night for my birthday and were sadly disappointed. One word... cold. I had the escargot, which is normally too hot to handle and it was tepid when I touched it. I then had the tenderloin and the vegetables were down right chilled rather than freshly cooked and I did not touch them. The tenderloin on the other hand was perfect. My wife had the apple tart, her go-to as it is delicious and when I tried it... it was also cold. I had the chocolate souffle and it was also cold even though the waiter kept telling us it is just two minutes away. Very disappointed and it really put a damper on the evening. Not sure what happened as this is not typical for Lavendou but maybe there were issues in the kitchen or the waiter just forgot about us (we arrived at 5:30 for a early dinner). Obviously at that time, the kitchen was not that busy. We will keep coming back to our favorite but I hope they get their kitchen together in the future. Luckily I was not bringing clients in or extended family.

   Just ok - food was fine, but nothing exceptional. Service was also good, but again nothing exceptional.

   Food and service is always great. Reservations are needed on weekends because they are very busy. Pascal and his staff take great care of their guests.

   I never leave reviews but this restaurant deserves it because everything from the service to the food and especially the food was outstanding. We were there for my wife’s birthday, it was our first time there, and she said it was the best birthday dinner ever. Also want to give a special thanks to Jean Philip who was serving us that night he did an outstanding job.

   It is always great to visit Lavendou, and even better to do so during cassoulet season (December). The icing on the cake was bouillabaise being available as well! Marvellous food, service, and hospitality.

   We love this restaurant! The food is delicious. The staff is super nice. It’s really lively. Everything is awesome.

   My wife and I went there for a special occasion. We were seated toward the back where it was quieter than the front. Rafael was our waiter and he did a super job taking care of us. My wife had the wild mushrooms in pastry, and I had the frog legs for appetizers. They were both very good. I had one of the specials, a meat casserole, a variation of a pot pie. It was delicious containing beef, chicken, and sausage plus vegetables. We moved to Dallas 20+ years ago and this has always been one of our very favorite local restaurants.
