   Great place to meet the family for a holiday get together. A $125 refundable deposit is required to make a reservation and applied to the dinner. We even had live Carolers too on a weekday night Dec 10.

   The Lawry's app was not functioning. Caused some confusion and delay, as our server had to make several trips to kitchen/manager to get information and finalize bill. Apparently, the promotional gift card I was using had expired 10 days ago. Except the disclosure date had not been shown on the emailed gift card. Fortunately, the Manager authorized its use, or as long term customer, I would have been very upset. Charging my credit card in advance for the reservation, was another complication because I intended to use gift cards and my guest was going to use his credit card. I received a refund to my credit card of the deposit. But this was another unneeded complication. Dining should be seemless. Gift cards, payment methods and deposits should be stored on the app and I should just then beable to approve the bill and decide on the tip.

   All good. Everything was great and you get the carolers this time of year. But we have been coming a very long time. So a little sad to see they stopped serving the tomatoes with their spinning salad. At their prices I would expect everything to be the same. But again it was all good.

   Best prime rib. Best service. Classic prime rib and they have crème beulee and baked Alaska for dessert!

   I expected a more sophisticated evening. We didn’t get the food we ordered. Because they didn’t communicate what they were serving out of the carving station we didn’t know until the meal was complete. Staff didn’t respond in a timely manner and we had an issue with the bill which took forever to be resolved. The whole evening felt very average. Went for a special occasion but it didn’t feel particularly special. The carving station guy was very friendly and we appreciated his attention to our table. Christian was his name.

   everything was great!! always consistent and a great time here. just wish service wasnt absent after entree service. we were looking for our waiter for the check so we can leave.

    We were seated 10 minutes after our reservation, after being told immediately they were setting up our table. Not too bad. Once we sat down, a drink order was taken but they did not arrive for 10 minutes. They even took our order before the drinks arrived. Salad was OK, bread warm and good. Once our four Prime Ribs cuts were served and I took my first bite, what a disappointment. It was tough and needed a sharper steak knife. As I had three guests with me, I was quiet, hoping they were happy. I ate half my portion and left the rest for my guest's pets. After nearly their final bites, the Yorkshire Pudding arrived, too little and too late. On my way out, I spoke to a host who told me I should have said something immediately. I brought three guests, one of which I have told to pass up Prime Ribs elsewhere and wait for Lawry's. I was not going to make a scene in front of them. He told me "it was too late now" so I guess the less than stellar dinner was my fault. Lawry's of today is not the Lawry's of the past, of either location on La Cienega Boulevard. I was hoping to hear a follow up with them this AM but nothing.
