   Very disappointing evening. Uninspiring food, stingy portions, lacklustre service, extortionate prices and zero atmosphere on a Saturday night. The restaurant had a depressing end of days feel about it. Pont de la Tour is resting on its once good reputation but clearly needs a rethink on all fronts. I won’t be going back.

   first of all when someone requires a table whith a view because is a special occasion, why would u give them them most hidden table! did they do that in purpose?! then the waiting time for a waiter to bring a menu was more than 20 min each time , the atmosphere was dead as after a while they even stoped the music , all the stuff disappeared, it took me 20 min to ask for a desert menu, and then 20 min to find someone so i could ask for the bill. im completely disappointed, as we paid £330 for 2 people, and was absolutely not worthy!

   I have been going to this place since the 90s. There is now no atmosphere. The staff have that Eastern European stern approach to diners. For example I asked if they had Prosecco or Cava and the girl very sternly says “no we don’t”. She could say we have champagne with a smile. Anyway we ordered champagne but when you have Italian or Spanish guests it’s good to give them the attention by ordering their own national product. The food is very average and the prices are therefore expensive. The restaurant was empty. 3 tables at most. The bar was empty. And yet they do a big dog-and-pony show about reservations and 15 minute grace periods and so on. It’s sad to experience this with people visiting from another country. It’s time for this place to change. Times have moved on seriously since the 90s.

   We were a party of four and took a reservation at 9 pm. The waitresses were rushed and one of the waitresses kept arguing with the maitre in public, without minding the customers. Both filet Mignon ordered had to be sent back as they were overcooked and not as ordered. It took a long time for the services to be replaced and the flow of the dinner was interrupted. Apologies and complimentary wine were offered by a very professional maitre, Petric. We were surprised to see so many empty tables in a prime London restaurant on a Saturday evening, but although the food was eventually nice, after this level of service it became clear why there were so few customers.

   Had lunch with friends to celebrate my birthday. Restaurant was cold, the service a bit hit and miss and the food average. The crispy duck leg starter was inedible and I could have done with instructions on how to eat it or perhaps an angle grinder to get into it. Did get a birthday treat which was a nice touch but it was too late by then. Not a place I will ever be revisiting.

   Lovely restaurant with amazing views of Tower Bridge and the Thames. Very convenient for London Bridge station. Great atmosphere, plenty of space and a great choice of food and wines. Perfect for a celebration. The staff could not have been better or more helpful. Excellent.

    Steak Frites Bar deal was great! Just popped in. The Salted caramel tarte w licorice ice cream was outstanding.
