I loved the Tomato and dill soup. It was spectacular, and I am a hardy judge of tomato soup. This place has the best bread in my opinion, and cesar salad. You can’t go wrong with going here!

First time at Legend’s and won’t be our last. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and from the moment we walked in the staff acknowledged this. Everyone was super friendly, professional and the atmosphere was classy. We went on a Monday night so there was no live piano music, but I can see how this would enhance the experience. The food was delicious! We had steak dishes and the steak was like butter!! How do I describe the dessert other than HEAVEN! Fabulous and memorable at Legends!!!!

We’ve not eaten here in a very long time. We missed the salad bar they use to have! It was one of the main reasons we always went. Hardly anyone has them anymore. But our food was delicious! Granddaughters had the garlic shrimp and chicken Alfredo and it looked yummy and they said it was. I had the Chilean sea bass which came with mashed potatoes that were so creamy and a lot of flavor and sautéd zucchini and squash. It came with a salad before meal w/house dressing which was really good. My husband had lamb chops, mashed and the veg medley. I don’t like lamb and it looked good enough I almost tried it. We all go desserts and share bites, blueberry cobbler, coca-cola cake both w/ice cream and a lemon cake. They were all so good! Legends has always had good desserts. We will definitely go back sooner than we had last time. Bring back the salad bar though.

How apt, in 2025, is the name: Legends. It was 1971 when I took my beautiful date there in our Freshman year at OU. Apparently, so impressed was she that we have now been married fifty years. Though many other memorable meals were shared there in the 70's and 80's, we moved from Oklahoma for decades, returning to Norman this past weekend and thought, after checking to see that it was still open, "I wonder if Legends is still charmingly good." It is, and unlike most places remembered fondly from four decades ago, this one meets and exceeds our memories. Our party of four was graciously welcomed as we entered through the familiar door into the dimly lit, dining room the edges of which were illuminated brightly by the early evening sun shining through the multi-mullioned window panes, reflecting off the polished wood table tops. Our darling waitperson introduced herself, showing herself knowledgeable about the specials and hand crafted cocktails. The menu also seemed constructed as I remembered, and offered wonderful appetizer options (French onion soup and wedge salad were favorites). A variety of well-described entrees followed. Two of us had beautifully done sea bass with capers and a béchamel-like sauce, while others enjoyed beef and chicken (a bit too breaded perhaps). The prices were not 1971-like, but unquestionably a good value. A bit of a romantic atmosphere emanated from a skilled pianist somewhat wedged among the tables. The wine offerings are acceptable and well poured but the list is somewhat Spartan. With vanishingly few, tiny disappointments, our reunion with Legends was splendid and it is hard to imagine that we would not make reservations the next time we are in Norman! Highly recommended by we four.

Our reservation was at 5pm on a Wednesday and my husband and I were the only two diners in the restaurant until 6! It was very nice and quiet for us. Our server Kasey was so sweet and helpful. This was our first time ever going so we had a few questions and she helped us through it all. The building is really cute and reminds me of restaurants in Europe with the exposed brick and eclectic decor. I got their special drink, the blushing botanist and it was so good!!!! We also got the honey brussel sprouts and man, I just could not stop eating them. The house dressing is totally worth it! It was perfect on the garden salad (thank you for the suggestion Kasey!). I ordered the roasted duck and my husband ordered the lamb chops. Both dishes were amazing! I've been looking for a good restaurant that serves a good roast duck and I have finally found it! My husband loved the lamb and his mashed potatoes. Then for dessert I got the creme brulee and he got the rum Bundt cake. Both so delicious!! This was our first time coming here but it will NOT be our last time. The food and service are top notch and the price tag is affordable for what you get meaning we can go more often than once a year. I'm already trying to plan our next visit!

Nicole, thank you so much for your review! We are so glad that you enjoyed your first visit with us and that Kasey was able to make it memorable. We are always glad to have first-timers that turn into regulars and we hope to see you all very soon! Sincerely, Eva Sparks (Manager & Owner)

So good just as always. We usually get the chicken crepes but branched out to the fettuccine Alfredo, blue cheese topped steak and the Mediterranean Chicken. Everything was on point. Salads and soup excellent as well. We have loved Legends for 45 years.
