Leunigs Bistro has been a Burlington institution since it opened in 1980. Located on the corner of Church and College Streets on the Marketplace, it invites all passers by to visit Burlington's own little Parisian Cafe. The decor and ambiance will make you think you're in Paris, and the food will make you think you've died and gone to heaven. A member of the Vermont Fresh Network, Leunigs chefs prepare the best of local ingredients with a worldly accent. Live jazz with dinner Tuesday, Wednesday. Lunch served Monday-Saturday, Dinner every night, and Brunch on Sunday. Great wines by the glass or bottle, full liquor service. Best people watching in town. Reservations accepted, but not necessary. Every meal served with the panache of Paris and the value of Vermont, right in the center of town.

Fabulous. Can't wait to go back! Never thought I'd rave about split pea soup but somehow they did it.

I did my favorite early dinner of two appetizers. The soup au pistou is a regular pleaser and the escargot finished it off for an enjoyable eating experience. I enjoy the staff.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely French bistro style dinner at Leunig’s last night. His boeuf bourgignon was excellent, as was my chicken cordon bleu. Unpretentious, very well prepared food. We’ll return again.

Early birds dinner at 25$ is very appreciated, thanks to give everybody the opportunity to visit your charming place. Our plates were delicious but the soup was barely warm and the bread was dry. This detail is not up to your fame. In restaurants, details matter.

Early bird deliciousess! Our table was ready in the front of the restaurant as requested at 4:30. Ordered drinks and then our appetizers and meals by 5:00pm for the price prix options. Well-paced service to not feel rushed. chocolate molten cake served hot with fresh ice cream and strawberries with fresh creme. Two-hours of being transported to France on Church Street. Happy New Year!

We had an excellent evening at Leunig's. Great atmosphere with warm lighting and a very Parisian vibe. The citrus, beet and goat cheese salad was delicious and very generous in size. The glazed salmon was perfectly cooked as was the paella- one of the best I've had. Great food made with great, fresh ingredients. A simply wonderful restaurant to check out for anyone visiting Burlington.

Waitress took a long time to come to us. She treated us as if we didn’t belong there and gave us the feeling that we couldn’t afford the meal. I had ordered a glass of wine and when I finished it she came and took the glass and walked away instead of asking if I wanted another one. Which I would’ve ordered had she given me the chance. I would not return to this place given that experience.
