Last minute reservation - good table. Delicious food. One of the best arugula salads Rigatoni carbonara was so good and dessert bomboluni with chocolate sauce shared - wonderful. Charming small cosy restaurant. Highly recommend!

First time diners… we WILL return, sooner rather than later. Each course was delicious, a delightful experience of complex and unexpected taste profiles. Even the L’Inizio Negroni was superb. Bombolini for desert, highly recommended.

The food is exceptional and made with fresh, seasonally sourced ingredients. I have ordered two different pasta dishes on my last 2 visits and they were exceptional. The cocktails are well balanced and paired well with the meal.

Delicious as always. From the appetizers to the entrees you cannot go wrong. The space is cozy and charming, perfect for date night. The L’inizio team is warm and welcoming. What a great night.

Visit Ardsley in Westchester County, New York if for no other reason but to dine at L'inizio. The owners Heather and Scott Fratangelo know good food, they trained as chefs at top restaurants in New York City before opening this neighborhood gem in Ardsley. It's Italian food at it's best. Each dish is creative, unique and creates an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Every appetizer, entree, side dish and dessert is carefully crafted and beautifully presented. All their pasta dishes are made with homemade pasta and combine a variety of unique and fresh ingredients making it a challenge to decide what to choose. Run do not walk to this lovely spot and I doubt you will be disappointed.

The menu is very creative with something for everyone. I thought the apps and entres were fairly priced and the portion size ample. I had the octopus appetizer and was a little disappointed with how many legs were served. For entre, the Chicken Scarp was excellent with a good blend of sausage, chicken and peppers. It does seem odd to me that in a suburban quiet town like Ardsley, the bottle of wine prices started at $53. There was nothing special about our chardonnay.

Date night dinner. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Service was excellent. The fresh pasta was the star of the show -love a half portion of pasta option so we can taste more. We’ll be back!

We’ve never had a bad meal there. Service was great! It’s our number one choice for special occasions since it’s a bit pricey.

The appetizers cauliflower Brussels sprouts and octopus where all very good the kale salad was good For main courses my party got many different dishes from gnocchi to veal parmigiana to sole with a burnt butter sauce to a chicken scarpsriella and butter nut squash parmigiana All the dishes were prepared with unique elements not found at other restaurants but all delicios The atmosphere is nice but not unique with its rows of tables Will be back
