Surprised that the restaurant knew it was our anniversary! We enjoyed the special and complimentary flute of champagne for the entire table so very much. It really topped off the excellent food. Thank you O-Ku for making our night so very special.

The Mockingbrd calls itself a diner. But inside, it feels more like a hipster cafe you would find in Brooklyn, with white marble tabletops, trendy teal booths, and gigantic windows. This creates a bright, sunlit, and cheery atmosphere. The menu features global fare. One of the most popular menu items at The Mockingbird is the $2 tacos, available on Tuesdays from 4pm to 10pm at their weekly "Tiki Taco Tuesday." There are five creative taco options including Kale Seitan (with al pastor seitan), Barbarbarbarbarbacoa (with shredded beef), Holy Mole! Excellent as always. We did have to wait quite a bit because the Hostesses sat us in the back which with all the available booths and tables up front. We didn't really get a server right away and feel that the Hostess should have sat us where there seems to be more servers ready. I think the Hostesses needs to guided by the management on seating since, we were placed way in the back with only one other group. I think there needs to be better understanding of where to seat people in the restaurant.

We came in with a party of 10 on the night of the CMAs. We were seated immediately and our server was outstanding. She had phenomenal menu knowledge and flawless recommendations throughout our meal (drinks, apps, entrees, and desserts). The ambiance seemed more like a casual neighborhood place and felt a little cold. Do not let that fool you!! The food was absolutely fantastic. Every element thoughtfully paired and prepared. We'll done!!
