Miami is loved for its gorgeous beaches and wild nightlife, but as a Magic City native who has written about food and drink for outlets like OpenTable, Eater, and Thrillist, I can confirm that over the last decade, it’s really stepped up as a blockbuster culinary destination. Nothing brings me greater joy than cheering for Miami’s always-growing restaurant scene, which is a mix of serious homegrown talent and big-deal, big-city transplants.

Whether you’re in the mood for an all-out party at a Greek restaurant on the water or craving hearty American comfort food after a big night out, these are the 12 Miami restaurants I highly recommend as my can’t-miss spots in the 305.

One of the most drop-dead gorgeous spots in town sits in the courtyard of The Setai, decked with palm trees and a serenity pond. Pas à la hauteur d’un 2 étoiles Michelin. Niveau de bruit pour une discothèque… impossible de se parler… Pas de dressing code … Je ne pourrais plus recommander ce restaurant.

Come extra hungry, because this menu is so indulgent that even the “light and bright” section features bone marrow and a foie gras and truffle tart, aka some of the richest food around. Order several small plates and a nice porterhouse to share, or go all out with a 44-ounce Wagyu tomahawk with all the sides and sauces.

Nous avons été un dimanche c’était une boîte de nuit, ambiance incroyable, nous sommes retournés un mardi soir et c’était très très calme, nous avons dîné face à la baie et les bateaux. Deux ambiances différentes, j’adore cet endroit !

Chef Mario Beabraut gets creative with dishes such as cacio e pepe gnocchi with wild mushrooms and a pastrami-spiced short rib, while still serving surf-and-turf faithfuls like bone-in ribeye and whole branzino. It’s great for date night or to catch up with a friend over martinis. For 10/10 entertainment, I highly recommend sitting at the bar on the weekend to people-watch.

La viande de Wagyu était divinement bonne mais hors de prix: 375$ le steak de 226g! Je n'ai pas de problème de moyens mais quand même! 990$ pour 2 entrées, 2 steaks, un mac&cheese et 3 verres de vin...
