The Boatman, is Windsor’s only pub on the river at the foot of Windsor Castle overlooking Eton Bridge. Serving freshly cooked food all day everyday from midday to 9pm at night, in the cosy bar, restaurant or in the stunning riverside all-weather conservatory, there is a fine selection of wine, ales, cocktails to choose from.
The bar area and terrace is dog friendly, we cannot accept any pets in the conservatory or restaurant.

We were a table of six that came for Sunday lunch for my birthday. We had all of the roasts covered (except vegan), a burger with all of the trimmings and a kid’s bolognaise. All the food was excellent, with good sized portions. The service was friendly and attentive but not overpowering. My only negative and I shouldn’t complain because we don’t see the sun for my birthday, in March, very often was that it got pretty warm under the glass, it would have been nice to open a few windows for air. Thanks very much for a fabulous meal.

Fabulous food - the fish pie is really gorgeous and is very popular. The staff are all fantastic - welcoming, warm and very helpful. Atmosphere of the building is cosy and the beams are fantastic although ducking may be required in places! A walk down the pontoon to look at the river and watch the wildlife is a must, even in chilly weather. Car park spaces are limited but everyone seems to manage fine!

Firstly, I love this place. This was not my first visit, but my first for Sunday roast. I had high expectations. The roast beef was generous, lean and pink. Lots of veg. But, I was surprised that while it looked good, it lacked flavour. Gravy was thin and bland, cauliflower cheese looked right but no taste. With glass of wine, service etc, it's an expensive lunch albeit with a great view. IMHO I'll return for other meals but not a roast. There are plenty other establishments in St Ives and beyond who are doing it better.

The food was excellent. We had a variety of fish and vegetarian dishes. Nice atmosphere. The service was quite slow, and putting a 12.5% service charge on a party of 4 should quite frankly be illegal. I know you can ask for it to be taken off but it's embarrassing to do this. Absolutely wonderful as always, the food was brilliant and everyone who served us was lovely. They also put a candle in my husbands dessert for his birthday, which I really appreciated. However, they absolutely need to do something about the toilets. In the middle of a cold, wet, winters evening it’s really unpleasant needing to go outside into the mud to go to the toilet in a shed in the garden centre. In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth.

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

Excellent meal for my dad’s 60th the food was amazing and great sized portions. The meat in the mini pitmaster was so tasty, compliments to the chef. The atmosphere was great with a live singer performing.

Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.

In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. Our doors opened in May 2015, just in time for the start of the crab season. We deliver local shellfish from pot to plate in a laid back environment. It was our anniversary, and there was a card on our table, saying happy anniversary from the owners and staff, which was a great personal touch. The service from the staff was amazing, kind and professional. Food was exceptional, will definitely be visiting again.

The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport.

The Pub with its oak beams and two inglenook fireplaces proffers a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, whilst our terrace is perfect to enjoy a drink and food in the summer months. Being a free house we pride ourselves in the quality of our real ale, and concentrate on local breweries, such as Harvey's of Lewes and other micro breweries. Our food is cooked to order, using fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced ingredients. Our menus change on a regular basis and we also offer a small selection of seasonal specials on a daily basis.

This is the second time of visiting, absolutely outstanding food. I came with a friend who had never been before and we both had the prawn tacos, she said they were the best prawns she had ever had, that goes for me too. Bringing my hubby next time

The Crathorne Arms is a great pub in a wonderful community spirited village, lovely people, Lord Crathorne himself couldn’t be more supportive, how lucky we are.

Our life has come a full circle from a town pub in Middlesbrough (well Eugene has) to the tontine (McCoys Hotel, Restaurant and Bistro) to a village pub in Crathorne, Ten Minutes from Middlesbrough.

We live above the pub, our furniture and furnishings live downstairs as they can’t and won’t fit up the stairs! So the canoe has the condiments, the bookcases our books, the huge sofa with big squashy cushions to sink into, tin lanterns reflecting patterns on the ceiling, this all makes for a homely feel and that’s what we would like to create along with good wholesome food and drink.

Of Course the staff, front of house and kitchen are all great, hardworking, smiley, enthusiastic young people and a joy to work with.
