Whenever I'm visiting my partner we pop in for a Sunday Roast and it's absolutely spectacular every time. This place has consistently excellent service & food, staff are always wonderful and food is always delicious and filling. Extremely good value for money - we always leave stuffed!

After an hour’s walk on a misty betwixmas morning, myself, husband and trusty black lab Jack, settled into a cosy corner of the bar for lunch (booked in advance given the time of year). Despite the ‘not wanting to eat for a month’ feeling post Christmas turkey, the walk and perusing the varied menu did the trick in building up our appetites! Having seen the list of desserts, we decided to skip the small plates despite how tempting they were. I had the lamb shank, washed down with a warming glass of Merlot. The lamb was everything you’d want from a perfectly cooked shank - meat melting off the bone, coupled with fluffy Parmesan and garlic mash, red cabbage and a delicious sauce. My husband chose the cheddar soufflé which was gooey perfection accompanied by potatoes and greens. The presentation of both dishes was excellent. For dessert, I went for the vanilla and maple cheesecake with salted caramel sauce whilst my husband had the sticky toffee pudding with a specially made for him sticky toffee sauce (the menu had a brandy sauce but my husband doesn’t consume any alcohol) and ice cream. This was also delicious. Again, both desserts were beautifully presented with redcurrant and blackberry garnishes. The staff were attentive to the perfect degree, the bar area was clean, tidy and nicely laid out. The complimentary still or sparkling water was a nice touch. Overall the meal and experience was 5 star. We will definitely be back, maybe even with the teenagers! Would thoroughly recommend!

Plenty of delicious choices on the menu; all those we chose were extremely tasty and more than came up to expectations. This was our second visit here after a very good experience earlier in the year and we were certainly not disappointed. Everything, including the warm welcome and friendly, knowledgeable service and of course the superb food and drink was excellent and we can’t wait to return! A perfect way to start our Christmas celebrations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch at Provenance. Our vegan friend enjoyed his cauliflower steak, our other friend said it was the best cauliflower cheese he had ever had and the beef was so tender. The range of vegetables on the sharing platter was incredible and much appreciated.

This was our second visit, we were not disappointed, warm friendly welcome, good selection of food,even for us being pescatarians.The vegetables served were not over cooked, lovely salad according to my husband was very fresh. Standards within the pub were excellent, service was very friendly and professional even, the way the tables were cleaned, the washrooms were very clean. Always busy on a Sunday lunch time but service was prompt and friendly. Our table was ready and set for us when we arrived at our booked time The food was good as always. I had the fish soup with was substantial and very tasty. The marquee was warm and cosy after a walk along the beach. They were also busy at the takeaway counter but the staff seemed to have it all under control.

Visited for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had to come back to try another item on the menu (chicken mac & cheese waffles). Absolutely amazing!! We had originally booked for outside as that was all that was available, however we received a call around half an hour before our booking to say there was a table available inside, which was ideal! This was my first time at Kelp. We had a reservation and were running a bit late so I phoned the restaurant and they helped us find a more suitable time. We ordered from the Christmas lunch menu. Two of us are vegetarian and one is vegan, unusually there were plenty options. For the nut roast you get to choose from the carvery veg and it's all clearly labelled. Veggie gravy, roasties, stuffing and loads of other options were available. Deserts were good too, trillionaires tart is vegan and looked delicious. Overall, one of the best veggie Christmas lunches we've had in the area for a while, £22.50 for 2 courses is good value. Absolutely wonderful as always, the food was brilliant and everyone who served us was lovely. They also put a candle in my husbands dessert for his birthday, which I really appreciated. However, they absolutely need to do something about the toilets. In the middle of a cold, wet, winters evening it’s really unpleasant needing to go outside into the mud to go to the toilet in a shed in the garden centre. Not really appropriate for a £100 a head dining experience. The only dark spot on an otherwise lovely evening.

Emilia’s SKD is a fresh pasta restaurant located in the heart of St Katharine Docks with a beautiful al fresco dining terrace overlooking the marina, just a few minutes’ walk from Tower Bridge.

At Emilia’s all our pasta is made fresh every morning in our restaurant in full view of passers-by and served from our fully open kitchen. In true respect of Italian tradition, we use certified Italian produce and try our best to ensure no additives, artificial ingredients, preservatives or anything unnatural is in our food. We believe that food is much better when it’s 100% natural.

Our restaurant has a mixture of chef’s bar/counter seating (overlooking the open kitchen), window seating (overlooking our terrace and the marina), normal tables and an outdoor terrace (overlooking the marina).

In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth.

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.

In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. Been looking forward to visiting the Dun Cow for a while and we were not disappointed . Lovely warm welcome on arrival ,shown to lo table looking overlooking the marsh where we watched a Marsh Harrier hunting the reeds for prey . The food was excellent , as was the service . The pub has a a really nice atmosphere , would highly recommend and will be returning asap .

The Rose sits opposite the site of the old Baddesley colliery, behind the village green and duck pond with an orchard and large relaxing area overlooking the pond.

Originally believed to be a 'Gentleman's residence', the building dates back to the 18th century and has served as a courthouse, jail, mortuary and for more than a hundred years as a public house.

Seabass was delicious piping hot and very tasty two friends ordered the same and agreed. Another friend had pork belly and his was equally enjoyable. Had mincemeat frangipan tart for desert and it was mouthwatering. Excellent value for a first class meal.

We love devour and have been many times. There was an error with our food but we spoke to the staff and they were very responsive to sorting it out to make sure we were happy. They were very busy but still very happy to sort out the issue. Would highly recommend. Very nice setting and atmosphere

The Crathorne Arms is a great pub in a wonderful community spirited village, lovely people, Lord Crathorne himself couldn’t be more supportive, how lucky we are.

Our life has come a full circle from a town pub in Middlesbrough (well Eugene has) to the tontine (McCoys Hotel, Restaurant and Bistro) to a village pub in Crathorne, Ten Minutes from Middlesbrough.

We live above the pub, our furniture and furnishings live downstairs as they can’t and won’t fit up the stairs! So the canoe has the condiments, the bookcases our books, the huge sofa with big squashy cushions to sink into, tin lanterns reflecting patterns on the ceiling, this all makes for a homely feel and that’s what we would like to create along with good wholesome food and drink.

Of Course the staff, front of house and kitchen are all great, hardworking, smiley, enthusiastic young people and a joy to work with.
