Zaytinya is one of my go to places to take friends, family, and out of town people because the food is great and the price is great! Our waitress took a while to take our order but the food came out fast and the drinks were great!

Absolutely a fantastic meal! All four of us were extremely pleased with our meals, one of which was not on the menu and was still rated "the best I have ever had". Wonderful breads started the dinner. Salads and appetizers were great. Everything prepared superbly! Then came the cannoli..... Service was top notch. Excellent restaurant for a special night out!

We enjoy dining here and generally speaking everything is as expected. Tonight was extraordinary because of our waitress Wilma. We had never had her before and we were impressed with her friendly personality, her attentiveness and her overall desire to make our dining experience enjoyable. She excelled in every sense of the word. Our dinner was excellent, from the Beef Wellington to the Crab Cake entrees along with the shrimp cocktail and goat cheese appetizers. The cornbread was fresh and warm ( not rubbery) and the peach green tea was to die for. Wilma surprised us with a complimentary piece of chocolate tort with a candle where she thanked us for being good clients of Wildfire. This was completely unexpected but was warmly received. Everything was wonderful but we missed seeing management during our trip tonight.

Friends wanted to get together and left the venue to me. I suggested MATCHBOX as it was easy to get to and plenty of FREE parking available. I hadn't been to MATCHBOX in years and it was a venue other friends and I would meet up at pre-pandemic. We met up MON afternoon and the place was relatively quiet. I had been to the restaurant after work/happy hour and it would be packed to the gills! It was a pleasant venue for a light lunch and my friends had never been to the restaurant. A surprise for my friends who were experiencing MATCHBOX for the first time was being given a complimentary cheesy bread -- sort of like a thin white pizza with just enough garlic and side of red sauce for dipping. Our waiter was quick to take our order and food did not take long to be served. Honestly, I was very tired after having worked a morning shift (up at 3am to report to work at 5am) so having their Cream of Crab Soup and Simple Salad was enough for me since I planned to go home and "crash" for the rest of the day. My friends enjoyed their meals but what was nice was afterwards, we hung out in the restaurant continuing with our conversation catching up with each other. The staff never tried to "hurry us out" and the whole atmosphere of a quiet restaurant was conducive to our being able to converse without having to rush out of the restaurant. My friends were amazed at how big the place was (their first time being at the restaurant) and were glad of the choice of venue for meeting up. Also, when it came time to pony up on the bill, my friends said it was their treat as a belated birthday gift. Gotta love friends! Thank you MATCHBOX for providing a welcoming venue for 3 friends with an unhurried atmosphere to be able to hangout".

Tater tots appitizer was a big hit. Our group had the Ahi Tuna, Sea Bass, two steaks, and a seafood salad with jumbo shrimp. All were top shelf. Topped it off with the pumpkin cheesecake which was to die for. Great place to have a meal in DC.

Excellent experience for my husbands 65th birthday. We had an attentive, friendly waiter, lovely ambience quiet enough to hear each other speak in a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Made an easy enough reservation online, the day before. Only had bar seating left, which was actually listed with reserved plaques when we arrived Restaurant is about a block away from eastern market metro. Street parking. $36+ unlimited tapas style plates. You can order as many plates as you want. They are kind of sample size, but very filling. Two drink options. Unlimited regular mimosas (various flavors) for $12 -OR- the same regular unlimited mimosas AND cocktails and other non alcoholic drinks I literally had the full menu of regular mimosas lol. My friend had a lemongrass or something cocktail the entire time, and loved them! We were seated at the bar and Courtney was our bartender. He was Amazing! The receipt comes out a little wonky, like it isn't exactly itemized, but it does come up to the price total as listed on the menu. We were told , its done that way to capture the cost of the drinks ..... This is not really a "turn up" spot. A mixed crowd, everyone had a good time tho! I don't recall if music was playing, but I was so busy catching up with my good friend. Such a lovely time!

It was a gorgeous October day and we ate outside--slightly noisy on the street. But the food was great and came quickly. We had haloumi and fermented cheese appetizers. My lamb chops were the best I've ever had--tender and seasoned so well. Loved them.

Our waiter Hassan and the staff treated us So wonderfully. We were celebrating my parents 55th wedding anniversary and they had decorated our table with a card and confetti. We felt very cared about and taken care of, and tended to. The food was chef’s kiss times three! absolutely spectacular and delicious. Best steak (ribeye) I’ve ever had in my life. Wow! Thank you, Ruth’s Chris for such a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to come back! Top notch team you have there from the moment you pulled up, to the moment you left.

We luckily picked a slow time, 6:00 PM on Wednesday. Service was prompt and courteous. Everything came on time and as requested. My chicken Milanese was done to perfection. The garlic bread was fresh and just toasted. My wife’s gnocchi with mushrooms was incredible. My picky teenage daughter ate every bit of her spaghetti and even the meatballs. Our guest ate all his spaghetti and chicken. Everything was made from scratch; nothing tasted premade.
