   The prawn and scallops dish was out of this world. Staff was great. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.

   A dinner at Lon’s, especially on their patio, has always been an excellent experience for us. Their menu is always innovative and the quality of food delivered has also been excellent. We don’t know if any other restaurant that can match the ambiance of Lon’s Hermosa. Every year we visit Phoenix/Scottsdale, we make sure a visit to Lon’s (dinner or lunch) is included in our itinerary.

   It was a family celebration for a 30th Anniversary and the ambience and food were excellent!

   Lon’s was disappointing today. It took 20 minutes and me getting up from our table 2 times to get a server and menus. We were invisible as staff walked by until finally a very nice server took pity on us. Usually the cuisine is noteworthy, however 2 of us asked for chicken instead of shrimp in our salad and we got unseasoned poached chicken sliced and added to a very forgettable pseudo Cobb salad. No grilled chicken available? Le Grand Orange market down the street has better salads. Presentation was weak, except for the tuna tostada. Things took a long time and we had to ask for everything except water refills. Perhaps employees were missing today, it was a bit embarrassing to have spoken so highly of Lon’s to our guests and have had this experience. A host/ manager whisked by and mumbled a 5 word comment to us which did not resemble an apology, not sure what the purpose of that was. At least the beautiful setting and view softened the unpleasantness of our lunch, as always it is exceptional.

   Not a fan of the kale salad which lacked flavor. Setting is as good as it gets!

   It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers fully on food quality, ambience, and service- but Lon’s excels at all 3. Each dish was fantastic, and our waiter Richard demonstrated a clear mastery of the menu, with thoughtful tailored order recommendations.

   The filet was not seasoned. It was not flavorful and slightly hhard to cut. The salad was great. The potatoes and the asparagus were good. I was disappointed in the filet. The rest of the evening was fine . It was a birthday dinner. We do have dinner occasionally at Lon’s. This is the first time I have been unhappy

   We ordered a spirit of the boarder drink, filet and a New York strip( bison) The drink was not balanced . The filet ordered as medium well was very mushy and undercooked . The bison strip ,well tasted gamey and that’s probably on me . The service was top notice ,  ambience, top notch.  I cannot recommend for anybody that likes to eat steak and have canceled of wedding plans there due to ‘weird’ pairs and flavors .

   This place is BEAUTIFUL! The service was amazing! And the food was INCREDIBLE! It was our first time, 6 adults and we all can’t stop taking about it!!!! Well done!!
