Bavarian, cosy, traditional – and full of life: in our traditional Munich restaurant, the brewer´s room, the lion roars daily from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m..
Typically Bavarian delicacies and varied daily meals are served with Löwenbräu beer specialties.
Due to the extensive renovations during the summer 2008, our restaurant has become much friendlier and brighter and also features a great number of technical innovations. Up to 350 guests can either sit in the traditional-style public bar area or in the more elegant and high-quality part of the restaurant. And for groups of all sizes appropriate premises are available, such as cosy little side rooms and separate small rooms. During the summer up to 1.000 visitors can also enjoy getting together the Bavarian way under old shady chestnut trees in our famous traditional beer garden.
The Löwenbräukeller offers all this – namely a cosy little place for everyone.

    Schöne Location. Typisch bayerische Küche von guter Qualität. Service hätte aufmerksamer sein können. Trotz relativ geringer Gäste-Auslastung, wurde bei uns nicht nach weiteren Wünschen gefragt.

    Unser Keller war super. Sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen leider weniger. Wir hatten unser Essen bestellt und das kam dann in 3 Minuten. So viel, wie frisch es zubereitet wird. Dem entsprechend hat es auch nicht sonderlich geschmeckt.

    Das Essen war leider nur mittelmäßig. Das Fleisch eher trocken, die servierten Knödel sind wahrscheinlich schon einige Tage alt und werden nur noch aufgewärmt (lauwarm) serviert. Man könnte diese der Konsitenz wegen auch gut als Wurfgeschoss verwenden. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und bemüht. Das Ambiente ist schon gut und mal was anderes.

    An sich ist es dort sehr schön, aber die Kapelle in der Stube ist einfach viel zu laut. Man kann sich kaum unterhalten. Das muss geändert werden!

    Die Qualität war mangelhaft. Fertigprodukte werden hier verwendet was man nicht erwarten sollte.

    Enjoyed the food, basic & hearty. Beer was great, I had the dunkel & my wife had the original. Perfect match.

    We were a group of 5 on new year's eve, we could not eat all at the same time since we ordered different dishes and they were not brought at the table at the same time with a time-gap of 10-15 minutes. We complained with the waiter about that and he justified the lack of organisation saying that the restaurant was fully booked (every time we eat there the restaurant is fully booked but this was the first time with this kind of issue). The food was not as good as usual, the pork shank was dry and the Wiener Schnitzel very greasy. It was nice that the band was there but it was a shame that they played almost only Italian songs... From a historic and important brewery like Löwenbrau we expected more traditional atmosphere (but this is just my opinion). Summing up the experience I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed, I had already been here many times in the past 5 years, I used to have good time, good food and good service here and I expected more traditions and less tourist treatment on New Year's Eve.

    It was the most horrible service I have ever had in Munich. The waiter complained every time we ordered something, he didn’t want to support us with your requests ( we didn’t order anything that was not on the menu). In the end I didn’t want to pay service (which is not mandatory) and the waiter was super mad and complained even more. I’m definitely not coming back. Food was regular if compared to other restaurants in Munich and price was high.
