   Service was pretty poor. No greeting, no spiel, had to ask what is recommended, no description of dishes from server, just order taking. service is bad nowadays right? Can’t wait till I can just enter my order through a robot. Got regular water poured into my glass of bottled sparkling. Food was alright, I generally liked the food, apps were good. Bread was so-so, wife didn’t like her dish and we didn’t like the meatballs. Probably won’t be back

   Arrived at the restaurant, asked the host, who appeared to be manager or owner, if there was still valet. He said I don’t know, you have to go ask. I said no one is out there, he said, there will be. He was Pretty rude, and valet was full. We were there for a birthday, there was no acknowledgment from host or waitress. Then we sat and the waitress was rushing us to order. The food was ok. Octopus was rubbery. The toast for the burrata was not crunchy. The bread boy only gives you one small piece of bread when you sit. Entrees were better. Been in Boston all my life and gone to the north end a lot, this was just over all disappointing, sorry to say because I know having a restaurant is a hard business. Overall the service was just unpleasant.

   We had such a delicious meal, we started with fabulous cocktails, then the calamari was delicious! The service throughout was so attentive without ever being too pushy!

   Lucca was an all-around fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting host set the perfect tone for the evening. The service was impeccable—attentive but not intrusive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, and modification for food allergies was not a problem , offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that every need was met. As for the food, it exceeded expectations. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and the chef’s attention to detail was evident in every bite. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to go out for a special occasion or just a night out in Boston

   This was our first time here and the food was amazing! We got the calamari appetizer which is grilled and not fried and the sauce was so good. My husband got the rigatoni bolognese and he said it was delicious. I got the tenderloin and it was wonderful! We will be back!

   I booked three of us at Lucca for a business dinner. Chose it for the location closer to my guest's hotel near Haymarket. They took us right away on our reservation. You walk through the bar into the much quieter dining room. The room is a bit austere - wood floors, wood tables and white walls with art. Service was great! Our server was efficient, friendly, and stayed to chat when we asked some questions. The food was very good, but not great: - I split an arugula salad with one other - that was great - light, bright and large. - My guest's vegetable pasta was very good - light, citrusy and colorful. - My wife's halibut was bland - the only real seasoning was on the mashed potatoes. - My wild boar ragu pasta was rich and savory, but could have used a little more oomph. Two of us had glasses of wine, both were great. So overall, very good, but not tipped into great.

    We were welcomed in and were able to celebrate a family birthday. Rita, Ted and Angie were wonderful to share the evening with. To pick one dish would be difficult- we tried many - the filet, salmon, & shrimp scampi (all delicious) but he creme' brulee was new for us and a favorite of the night! We will certainly be back. Thank you for having us.
