Founded in 2006, Luce is a local favorite featuring many traditional dishes. Flavors which often bring our guests back to their best memories of Italian specialties.

My goal for this restaurant to create a warm environment for all guests that is typical of a true Italian heritage.

Our menu consists of many Buonincontri family recipes and recipes brought back from travel to Italy.

Fresh fish, meats and produce expound throughout Luce's offerings and a focus on the finest ingredients are what make Luce special.

House made Gnocchi, Italian rice balls and homemade Mozzarella are just a few examples our passion for the finest Italian food. The word Enoteca means wine library. The walls of the entire restaurant are covered with wine bottles as you would expect books to cover the walls of a library. Wine is a very important part of an experience at Luce, with over 125 choices from our wine list available to you.

My sweetheart and I went to a 615 reservation in the food was fantastic! The service was outstanding. Our weight staff person gave excellent service but knew when to let us just enjoy our conversation. The restaurant was not super crowded at that time so I’m not sure the noise level when it is completely full to capacity But we were able to have a lovely conversation and sat by the window. There was no loud music or music at all playing which I really appreciated I can’t stand it when restaurants have this music going and I can’t even talk to my dinner guest or hear them. All in all it was a great experience and I will certainly be there again !

We have eaten here on many previous occasions and deemed it as one of our favorites; last night was a FLOP in comparison! Sauces were watery, food not quality as before: seemed to be heated from frozen state as still cold internally. My wife is Italian, was positive previously, but very disappointed at our anniversary dinner. I was also charged auto tip for party of eight (57.00): 4 adults, 3children: 7, 5, and 2, plus non eating 10month old baby - ABSURD!!! Likely won’t go back!

5 stars ++ Happy hour Martinis, bread with 3 types of butter spreads, three delicious entrees the three of us could not begin to finish. Our server was so attentive. Joe B and his staff knocked it out of the park!

Only reason this wasn’t 5 across the board is because it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to get our food. Not sure a cook quit and maybe the only time this has happened but it will be a while before I give it another shot

We were served four of the five plates in our party. We waited 10 minutes for the other food to be served. By them the other dishes were cold. Service was bad all night. After eating we waited 1/2 hour to see the waiter so we could pay and leave. Were never asked about desert or coffee. Poor!

Overall the experience was good. The service was excellent. The decor and lighting are really good except for the area I sat in which was a few two seat tables very close to each other. I could hear the conversations of the couples on either side of me as if they were talking to me. I did see some isolated tables in certain pockets of the restaurant but I don't know how one would reserve those specific tables. I am planning to visit again as the food and service exceeded my expectations.

We were looking for a new place to go, particularly for a special day (Valentine's Day). We were seated next to the kitchen seeming as if they just placed another table to accommodate a large crowd, except it wasn't that busy. there were a couple of open tables while we were there. The menu was a special for the day, 4 courses, but I hadn't experienced a drink as one of the courses. The main course selection was great and varied. The waitress was pleasant but had to remind her of our order. Forgot our drinks, brought mine then forgot my wife's. Had to wait on our dessert. The main course, I ordered steak/shrimp dish, arrived with the pasta cold other items only luke warm. Asked them to warm it up and the plate came back hot, but the food only slightly warmer. Shrimp were medium sized which I think is small. The steak was cooked to my liking and was good. Wife had the rib plate and was a large portion. Food was only warm. For a rib plate, the meat looked more like pot roast. For an Italian restaurant, we expect burst of flavor, it was for the most part bland. Tiramisu was not that great and lava cake so-so. Overall disappointing. Wouldn't mind another try, but it's a bit far for us to drive so it will be a "one and done".

This is our third year coming here for valentines day dinner and brought another couple this time. The specials for valentines were disappointing. Entrees did not overwelm for flavor, food not hot, toast points burned, alfredo very cold, even the desserts were dissapointing. They did apologize and took a nice discount off of the bill but that was not expected. Must have new cooks because the restaurant was not packed. Waiter was good, drinks were good but our guests were also dissapointed in the food quality. I tipped approprately because I felt bad for the waiter.

I realize it was Valentines day so there should be some grace, but they knew it was Valentines Day and they would be busy, but the kitchen apparently could not keep up. So everything from our cocktails to our food was painfully slow to come out. The caesar salad was good. The fist basket of bread was just ok and the butter should have been softer. The second bread basket was much better: was warm and soft. I love the atmosphere here, but it was an off night for sure. Our waiter was very nice, but disappeared for long periods of time(maybe had too many tables??).

Well as always Luce’s Ristorante e Enoteca didn’t disappoint. We attended for Valentines Day although we had reservations but we didn’t like their first recommendation to be seated. We requested the library room at the back and we were very comfortable there. Lamb chops were excellent as always, Lobster Ravioli was ordered by two people who truly enjoyed it and another guest ordered the braised short rib and said it was outstanding. To top it off the staff was very cordial and attentive. We had some Stella Pinot Grigio and some Montelpulciano d Abruzzo which was excellent. When in San Antonio a must visit you will leave amazed. 5 Stars as always and to top it off the Owner Joe is on top of all the plates coming out of the kitchen and at times makes his rounds to his guests. 5 Stars
