   First time in Lussmans Harpenden, we had set menu. Fantastic value for money, food was delicious, service was great, very welcoming would definitely recommend and will be returning at another time

   Have been a regular here over the years. On this occasion we were celebrating a birthday. The waitress was incredibly surly - borderline rude with no charisma. The food was average especially the chicken schnitzel which felt rubbery.

   We frequently eat at Lussmanns although we have yet to dined at every location. Harpenden is our favourite although we have never been disappointed whichever we visit. Excellent service and dining and represents superb value for money. Mr Lussmann clearly runs an excellent 'ship' and we will continue to frequent, hopefully enjoying the locations we've yet to visit. Keep on keeping on.

   This was my husband’s first visit following a spell of illness and he really enjoyed the whole experience. He chose the Halibut and waxed so lyrically about it I thought he would burst into song! We were delighted to be able personally to thank the chef. Desserts were apple crumble and orange brûlée, both of which were scrumptious. We are already looking forward to our next visit this coming Sunday😍🥰.

   As it was Mother’s Day, the restaurant was very busy and consequently noisy and the service was slow. My husband’s drink was forgotten but quickly brought when our server was reminded. My husband didn’t enjoy his meal at all. He thought the fish stew wasn’t hot enough and needed a more tasty bisque and some prawns. We both thought it tasteless. He was also very disappointed in his apple crumble because it wasn’t an apple crumble at all. It was stewed apples with ice cream and crunchy sprinkles. I actually enjoyed it but I do like stewed apples! All in all a disappointing meal.
