Farm-to-table and authentic New Orleans cuisine come together in the French Quarter at M bistro, where the chefs take an indigenous approach to the preparation of meats, seafood and produce from farmers in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. Three velvet-draped semi-private “Cheater’s Booths” and a private Wine Room offer additional venues for a special meal.

Our restaurant and lounge are conveniently located on the third floor lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.

Went for Christmas dinner. Paid $150+ each for the experience. Was supposed to include champagne and entertainment. No band. Waitress was confused about the champagne and ended up charging us. Service was slow. Never got water refills. Missing silverware - that sort of thing. Food was wonderful. Everything was delicious but I wouldn't recommend it for the cost.

Service was horrible from a surly hostess, to the noise from the lounge immediately adjacent and no follow up by servers. Christmas brunch promised champagne, live entertainment and a stellar experience to earn the stellar price. Champagne showed up at end of meal, no entertainment and really no adequate service. Dessert panacotta came without a spoon. No one ever showed up we had to make one from another table - at the Ritz Carlton. No coffee served. Every item was served by a different person and not one ever made eye contact. We have had far better service at small coffee shops. Looking around I never saw better service being given anywhere. The hostess never smiled and she was talking on her cellphone when we came and when we left. For this we were tagged a nearly $400 bill which included the 22% mandatory service fee. It was not a merry Christmas beginning.

Beautiful restaurant! It’s what we expected for Ritz Carlton. Food was great. We had the NOLA salad, shrimp and grits and the gulf snapper, all delicious! They sat us in a cozy, private dining area at the back of the restaurant, which was perfect for our family gathering. The live jazz in the lounge area in front of the restaurant was a wonderful added touch! Service was a little on the slow side. I had to get up and get a couple of things myself like I worked there. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves and will return.

The gingerbread experience has gone down a bit. We've been doing it for about a decade with our kids. First, the parking was full -- parking was only for "guests," and apparently getting teas, dining, experiences at Ritz doesn't count as being a guest. The price has increased significantly over the years and the service is less accommodating. There's a kids bar for chicken fingers but not much of an option if you have vegetarians. They wouldn't let you order of the menu for other items -- something you could easily do in the past. There was one server who went beyond seeing that we had to leave early asked Santa is he could re-route to our kids next.

We attended the Gingerbread House decorating service - the decorating itself was well stocked but the service it self did not live up to the price point.

Service was Terrible in a restaurant that was only 1/4 full at most. Waited forever to be seated, to be served, and for drinks. After adking for and speaking with management, our food was served quickly. Food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

Meals are always very good. However, the cocktails are super expensive- can get same drinks at other bars for less. Also. disappointed that the restaurant doesn’t validate for complimentary parking if we dine at the restaurant anymore. They now give diners a 50% discount.
