Our server “R” did a fantastic job! He was attentive without being overbearing and made two quality wine recommendations. My wife and I splurged for Valentine’s Day and got the foie gras…we both recommend you do the same. Additionally the bartender “S” takes her craft seriously and provided several outstanding pre-dinner drinks as well as some ingredient knowledge. Who knew that sweet vermouth should be refrigerated? The only downside was that the entres were not very hot when they came out and the ravioli portion was a bit sparse.

Everything was great. It was Valentines Day. The valet service was perfect. The hostess's welcomed us and took our coats, they were both cheery and polite. We were seated right away. Our server was Randall, first off, he has a great personality and man he knows his wine! Outstanding recommendation.....one of the best waiters we have ever worked with. The fresh focaccia was warm, and the sweet potato butter worked well with it. We split the beet salad, which was outstanding. The Swordfish was perfectly cooked, and the presentation was charming. The goat cheese ravioli was over the top good, nice and creamy but not over seasoned. My compliments to the Chef. We ordered the chocolate souffle as dessert (which you have order when you order dinner, it takes to make it from scratch), it will not disappoint...its paired with a raspberry sorbet. Great combination. Ask for Randall when you make your reservations. He's a really cool guy. The atmosphere was nice a welcoming, light jazz music playing in the background. The place was clean, neat and squared away. I thank everyone there for a wonderful evening.

Service was slow. Ordered cocktails and took 30 minutes to get them. Appetizers arrived before cocktails. Would not go back.

Great seasonal choices. The oysters, charred beets, forest mushrooms, lamb, bannoffee were all excellent.

Service was excellent. Ambiance fair as we were seated in the bar area which was tight and somewhat noisy. Three of us thought our entrees were excellent; the fourth was a pescatarian who had only one option, a curry risotto. Fresh swordfish was on the menu when we checked on line in advance, but not available in person. The sides were laughingly small—not worth the price. Overall a pleasant experience but I would not go back. Very pricey given all the shortcomings.

We went for New Year’s Eve dinner and it was hands down the best meal we had of 2024. Guy did an amazing job making us feel welcome and the whole team worked seamlessly. Can not wait to come back and try a new menu in 2025.

This is a review of Afternoon Tea (Holiday Tea Service). As one who frequents Magdalena for dinner, the Afternoon Tea experience was atypical. The assortment of tea was nice; however, the full offering of accompaniments was not presented though on the menu (maybe they ran out - no apology or explanation given). The young lady who served us was very knowledgeable about the tea, but her apron was dirty/ stained and she had an ace bandage on her hand with no rubber glove shielding her hand / bandage from our tongs, our tea leaves (which she placed in the sachets using both hands), etc. She also participated in our private conversation numerous times, which was off putting and rude (although I’m sure she saw no harm done). The hostess and the valet both delivered stellar service, more of what I’m accustomed to at The Ivy. Unfortunately, this was not a Michelin-level experience.

Had a wonderful culinary experience and service was impeccable. The wine recommendations were great and cocktail’s were “special” and unique. I will definitely return.

I went here for my birthday dinner. To be fair and honest the food was great. However the execution on some plates fell short unfortunately. Our bread to start was burnt but the cranberry butter was amazing so that kinda saved it. My main course which was the short rib, came out cold. My dates main course was perfect though, she had the scallops. Liquor selection isn’t the biggest but that’s okay. For the price you pay to eat here, perfection is expected. The service was decent however and they did not charge me for the mistakes they made with the dishes that fell short. Overall it was a 3/5 for me.
